Why are Comp 'Lock-Ups' showing Error DCOM 1053, DCOM 1068 or DCOM 1084 every time it happens?
DCOM 1053 link to possible solution: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/839174 This link is for the other two...http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135however, in reading some of the solutions...have her disable her antivirus program and see if that clears all of the problems...if it does, then delete it and do a fresh install of said product. If that doesn't fix it...then do what the articles suggest should be done. It sounds like there's a program interfering with the processes. Try the antivirus disable thing and see what happens, let me know. hope this helps you!

Vista won`t update has 8024404 error
Try reboting your computer, if tha does not work, Go to Microsoft.com and contact customer service and tell them about your problem. Also, you can try to download Service Pack 2 or 3.
Before you do this, you may want to try to go to the Control Panel and click on the System and Security option and click on "Find and Fix Problems" and follow instructions, or click on the System and security and check the :Action Center" or "Windows Update."
Explore this page, you will probably find a solution for your problem. You can also try to "restore your computer" to an ealier time. The one you will find under the "Action Center.
I hope that this info will help you to resolve your problem.
