Microboard error code 306

The 306 Error Code is generated when any corresponding process or operation could not be completed successfully by the application.

MICROBOARDS PRINTER LANGUAGE MONITOR........UNABLE

The Microboards G3 is the worst duplicator I have ever owned. It has worked a total of 4 times, no response from the company, software is terrible and faulty and I'm pretty much over it. Good luck.

Why is it identified as Unknown Device?

You need to click the unknown device icon and search and install the drivers. If you have the disc that came with the machine, then they should be on that. One possibility is that you didn't follow the device installation instructions properly. Missing out some step that is required. So read the installation instructions carefully again. Double check that you haven't missed something. I know that these days for example some printers tell you when to connect them to a PC. Connecting the cable before then can cause problems. One final thing check the cable that connects it. I had one once that though it knew there was a printer, it just couldn't recognise it, just like yours. I replaced the cable and it detected the printer straight away - name, everything!!!

When I put the disc

One of the "target" CD-writers is not working -- either the "data" cable is not connected, or the "power" cable is not connected, or the drive itself (either the "spinning" motor, or the "laser") has failed.

Presumably, you don't have to fill "all" the trays, in case you only want to make a few copies of the "source" disk.
So, make a few attempts, with the "source" disk in the "source" drive:
1. put a blank disk into the 1st "target" drive,
leaving the other targets "empty", and press the button.
If it works, then the 1st target drive is OK.
2. put blank disks into the 1st and 2nd "target" drives,
leaving the other targets "empty", and press the button.
If it works, then the 1st and the 2nd target drives are OK.
3. put blank disks into the 1st and 2nd and 3rd "target" drives,
leaving the other targets "empty", and press the button.
If it works, then the 1st and the 2nd and 3rd target drives are OK.

... and so on

If you get a "failure", then you now know which of the "target" drives is the "bad" drive. Either replace that bad drive, or change the cabling inside the unit to "bypass" that bad drive, and put a sticky-label on the face-plate of that drive, saying "do not use this tray".

It sounds like it's asking you to install a driver. You might try re-installing that.

The basic troubleshooting steps for a balky program like this would be to reset preferences, if that does not work, then simply uninstall the program and then reinstall it. Please note that this action may delete any presets that you had set up...

CD does'nt slide anymore inside the printer to be printed at the second step, after going down at first

Either the sensor and/or the laser lens inside the tray are dirty, a common fault printers)or you are not aligning the disk properly when placing in the tray. You can try using a CD\DVD cleaning disk and a can of compressed air to blow out dust. If this fails uninstall the printer's drivers and software and reinstall everything from the beginning. If that fails return for repairs. NEVER use stick on disc labels, only use write on discs

My QD-DVD Microboard burner, only three of the bays will burn CD's the other two will not.

hey john, u must go to the website from Microboards and there u must look for the latest firmware for your unit when u found it than burn it on a cd or dvd and than follow these instructions and u are set to go and the unit must work normal again The Update Firmware feature is used to update the controller firmware. 1. To update the firmware: Place the firmware CD into the reader drive (top). 2. Press the ENT button 3. The display will show the current and update firmware versions, as shown to the right: 4. Press the ENT button to complete the firmware update. 5. The duplicator will reboot automatically after installing the new firmware

Pf3 shows red light instead of blue signal when ready to print. and so the cd do not stop to print but just freely passes through to tray.

Reset the printer , turn off, and disconnect the power cord or USB by 1 minutes and reconnect again. and try again.However if the problem persist, unintall the software and reinstall again , and try again.Otherwsie you mus contact to the supplier manufacturer via ONLINE chat for to get support.GOD BLESS YOU
