My Makita model 5200 air compressor regulator will not adjust pressure--replaced with a new one-- no change. Help!!

you would need a separate regulator to regulate outgoing pressure and you have only an on/off reguastor.

Why does my new Makita dbn600 brad gun will not go deep enough with the rubber protector on.

Makita and Dewalt can being used with similar nails of other brands ? some sellers will you do believe but i can say by marketing technical updates Makita and Dewalt have very rare strict tolerance on dimensions but only original nails will and must working without problems , and 2nd choice nails have allways an other thickness or other kind of bonding they are made of. , use only the nails of the brand you working with if you have or MAKITA or DEWALT use the nails for the brand. otherwise the nailbrads will not slide smoothly its very critical made the last years more and more models of the brand have restrictions and get very fast troubles with cheap homebrands of hardware store parties. USE ONLY ORIGINAL delivered by the new Makita and Dewalt tools. otherwise if not working read the user manual if no succes go for warranty if its not work correct .

Have makita BATTERY nail gun. Trying to nail fibre cement exterior cladding to wooden framing. It is just starting to bend the nails and only going half in. Remembering this is a battery Makita nail gun

The nails may be to light gauge for fibre cement board as this board is quite hard to penetrate so the nails will start bending before they are fully in.

When nailing fibre cement exterior cladding into wooden batons using a makita nail gun some nails only go in half way then bend back on themselves Also firing pin leaves a mark just below the nail

the ones that bend are do to low air [air recovery ]and need full air to go through the dense boards

Motor will not start

I had the same problem and the solution was to manually press the thermal overload button. The button is located under the tool box next the motor head. I do not believe I tripped the thermal overload during use, but I suppose anything is possible. I’ve been using the compressor in sub 40 deg F. temperatures. I found the following in the Owner’s Manual, but had to look at the part manual to locate the switch.
MOTOR THERMAL OVERLOAD
PROTECTOR: The electric motor
has a manual thermal overload
protector. If the motor overheats
for any reason, the thermal
overload protector will shut off
the motor. Turn pressure switch
to the “off” position and wait for
unit to cool before pushing the
reset button and restarting the
compressor.

Good Luck!

Bostich n66 nailer

Does the nailer fire but just not drive a nail, or does it not fire at all? If it's the first situation, it's a magazine feed issue. I had one of those and it started doing something very similar. The magazine spring had gotten dirty from use which didn't allow it to function properly. (Carefully) disassemble the magazine and clean the spring. Automotive brake cleaner works pretty good for that. Spray the guides with a dry lubricant then reassemble. If it's the second situation, I can't help you there.

How to find the best planer for woodworking?

The Makita KP0810 is a friendly little planer. As the most helpful tool in the arsenal of a worker, the planer is supposed to cut, shape and decrease wood as required leaving a high-quality smooth finish. This hand held planer does exactly that and is light enough to be portable. However, its tiny size houses a powerful beast that makes an easy job of freshly cut wet wood. For cleaning rough timber surfaces that have been freshly milled, the Makita KP0810 will be a better option as it takes just a couple of passes rather than 20 minutes with a scrub plane. Power tools of Makita are always accurate, and this planer proves this point the best.
Features
• Has motor control of 7.5 amp • Weighs 7.3lbsHas a flexible handle that has lock-on/off switches on both sides • Has a raised base • Aluminum housing present to preserve the blades • Cutter head with two blades for a soft finish • Bottom adjusting knob that matches upon adjustment to assure accuracy in depth adjustment • Depth adjusting knob emphasizes a reading scale • Allows chip removal from either side of the machine
Pros
  • High motor power
  • Easy to use
  • Durable
  • Balanced
  • Well designed trigger
Cons
  • Not yet found
Conclusion
It is a great planer that assures your safety, support and protects the work piece. It is fit for construction workers to use particularly with door installations and framing. Makita indeed produced an excellent quality planer. Not only does the planer operate great but also looks awesome in the dark Makita blue color. Besides, they even offer a one-year guarantee with a 30day money back offer just in case you are dissatisfied with the planer. Personally, I do not have anything to complain. For all these reasons this is selected as the best planer for the money in our test. Source: http://besttopreviewsonline.com/blog/10-best-planers/ Top Rated Best Products and Reviews
