Amp turns on but no sound even with diff guitars and cords

I wish I could just say what to fix, but you can not do this at home. Line 6 is a great amp and worth the time taking it down to the music shop , to be looked at an give you a repair estimate. good luck keep on rocking in the free world. DFD

My spider III has a broken resistor on the pcb board, number D20. I need to know the resistence numbers so I can replace it.

If the damaged component is designated D20 then it is a diode. If it was a resistor it would be marked as R20.There is a copy of the circuit available here http://music-electronics-forum.com/t3077...

Not reconizing input of guitar

Read your manual good and check settings. Look for master volume and pan outputs. Make sure it is connected properly to you amp. You have a left and right output, also check the amp/line switch. You can find your manual here http://line6.com/support/manuals/
