Check your printer settings.

Sometimes if your printer or the program you are printing from has the paper source set to "Letter" it waits for you to press the continue key on the printer which allows you to insert headed note paper before printing.

If it is set to letter, change it to A4 and this should solve your problem

You may need to change this in both the printer settings and/or each program from which you are printing

When I have seen this error in the field, I have cured it by updating the firmware. Lexmark has a paper in their Knowledge Base on 900 errors:

Go through the suggested steps to try to narrow the problem down.

900 Service RIP errors are usually a firmware failure. Upgrade to the latest firmware from Lexmark. This link is for the C52X network model:

900 errors usually point to fuser or fuser related component failure.

Please have the printer serviced.

removed memory off the system board restarted printer. came up to an error no memory found.
powered down and reinstalled memory on board in a different slot and restarted unit...
NO ERRORS......

Check in printer menus if duplex is recognized by the printer, is not try to see if connector between printer and duplex is not damage. I had this same problem and had the replace the connector. damaged it connecting the printer to it.

You may have to clean the ink jets.. go into the software where it manages the print heads. Run it through clean print heads or jets program several times. Then run the realign program and see if that helps.

You have problem in this sensor. Clean

1. Make sure the printer is on. 2. Raise the scanner unit. 3. Remove both print cartridges. 4. Make sure the cartridge carrier lids are closed. 5. Close the scanner unit. 6. Press to turn the printer off. 7. Disconnect the power cord from the wall outlet. 8. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

How old is the Lexmark printer? Maybe you should by a new printer, not necessarily a Lexmark.

If it seems to power on but you don't get anything on display.....you're LVPS (Low Voltage Power Supply) is shot. Needs to be replaced but Lexmark no longer support this model. You might be able to find one from third party parts site.

The proper color alignment is in the Config settings. This should only be done a certified tech. Can really screw things up bad if you don't know what you're doing. I am a Lexmark Tech.

Could just be feed rollers are not picking paper properly. If they are dirty or dried out.....paper isn't getting to the input sensor in the correct time. Try cleaning with at least 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Other thing to check for is...make sure there is not a tiny piece of paper stuck in paper path that is blocking the page coming out of the tray. If a previous jam was removed.....a piece may have ripped off and is hidden somewhere.

Quite possible something happened to the printheads.....especially the Magenta one. Might have been 'bumped' out of alignment. They might just need to be wiped clean with a toner cloth. They are usually right above the toner cartridges. Have you tried a color alignment adjustment in Config mode?
