WHAT ARE TRANSFORMERS

Wall socket power (high voltage) is known as AC (Alternating Current). Battery power (low voltage) is known as DC (Direct Current). Transformers are electrical converters that change AC input to DC output or DC input to AC output. This is required to charge or to supply mains power for most portable devices that use batteries when not plugged in, or devices that do not have batteries but still require DC power input. Examples of such devices are laptops, phones, tablets, printers, print servers etc. A transformer for your print server is most likely a black box in line with the power cable. In this case you will need a new power cable which will include the transformer. Some transformers are within the device itself with a power socket in the back of the device. If this is the case then replacement of the transformer (or sometimes the whole device) is required depending on the price of parts, sometimes replacing the whole device is cheaper.

Printer cannot connect to wireless network

Make sure that you're typing in the correct WEP/WPA password for your network. If you're sure you typed in the correct password, powercycle your router and printer then connect the printer again to your network. You can also connect the printer using an ethernet cable straight to your router. Your printer will still be shared to your network.

T652n 202.03 paperjam

1Open the upper-front cover and remove the toner cartridge.2Look into the printer. Remove any jammed sheets of paper that you find there.
  • If the print job only consisted of this one page, reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover. Press the pattlnk_10162008_2247-select_button.jpg button to clear the error, and then try printing again.
  • If the print job consisted of more than one page, confirm the entire paper path is clear before printing again. Do the following:
    1. Remove the top paper tray ('Tray 1').
    2. Remove any jammed or partially-fed sheets of paper you find here, then reinstall the tray.
    3. Go around to the back of the machine and open the upper-rear cover. Remove any jammed sheets of paper you find, then close the cover.
    4. Once you have confirmed that the entire paper path is clear, reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover.
    5. Press the pattlnk_10162008_2247-select_button.jpg button to clear the error, and then try printing again.
  • If you cannot locate any jammed paper under the toner cartridge, then check the rest of the printer for any jammed paper. Do the following:
    • Remove the top paper tray ('Tray 1') and look for any jammed or partially-fed sheets of paper.
    • If you do not find any jammed pages there, reinstall the tray and go around to the back of the machine. Open the upper-rear cover and look there.
    • If the entire paper path appears to be clear, close the rear cover and power off the printer. Reinstall the toner cartridge and close the front cover. Power the printer back on. If a 200 error continues on power up, a sensor in the printer may be malfunctioning. This will require a service call to correct the issue. The top left "hinge" won't seat, therefore the top feed can't be used to fax, scan or copy.

It's possible that the hinge of the scanner cover broke. If that's the case, you won't be able to scan from the ADF (Auto Document Feeder). If the printer is still under warranty, please call our technical support team to have the printer replaced.

My printer status says it is on pause and it won't print. How do I get it off of pause?

I'm assuming that you're using a Mac. Try to uninstall the Lexmark driver first then download an updated driver online: http://bit.ly/McHL54If it doesn't work, try to reset the printing system:
  1. Open System Preferences and click "Print & Fax". Then click or right-click on the blank space around the list of printers on the left-hand side.

You should see a pop-up menu and the option to "Reset printing system...". Once you select the option, the OS will restore the CUPS printing system back to its original default settings. NOTE: This will, of course, erase all of your print queues.

Then add a print queue manually: http://bit.ly/SxD5Za

Lexmarx X4975 disable complete-a-print

The Lexmark X4975 Professional is a multifunction thermal inkjet printer that not only prints documents and photos, but also makes two-sided printouts, scans and copies materials and accepts line-connected or wireless device print requests. Three color ink cartridges--cyan, magenta and yellow--and a single black cartridge rest inside an ink cartridge carrier. Printer cartridge replacement is not difficult. Each cartridge is secured in place with a cartridge carrier lid that opens with the simple press of a lever.
  • Turn on the Lexmark X4975 printer. Lift up the entire scanner unit to rest in an open, angled position that reveals the interior of the printer.

  • 2

Press down on the lever in front of the printer cartridge that you need to replace to open the cartridge carrier lid.

    • 3 Pull the old cartridge from its slot in the carrier.

    • 4

Grasp the tab attached to the tape covering the electrical contacts and ink nozzles on the back and bottom of the replacement printer cartridge. Pull the tape away from the cartridge carefully without touching the contacts or nozzles.

    • 5

Insert the cartridge into the empty slot--the electrical contacts facing the back of the slot inserted before the front of the cartridge.

    • 6

Flip the cartridge carrier lid over the top of the cartridge and then push down on the top of the lid until you feel the lever lock the lid in place.

    • 7

Repeat the replacement process with the other printer cartridge if necessary. Lower the scanner back into position when finished.

      Increase Engine Horsepower.
