Lemax Item #74706Lemax does sell 4.5V @1000ma adapters. They are usually in the accessory section with the light sets. It will supply power for up to 3 devices. Notice this adapter is rated at 1000ma. The adapter that was included in the set was only 700ma. That just means that the replacement adapter can handle a larger current draw, IE. the train and a couple 4.5v accessories. It works. I am using one now.P.S. Walmart has these adapters..

I have a lemax gondola ride as well and the problem seems to be the weight of the gondolas tends to pull the cable off of the drive units to which they are attached. If you have ever looked at BRAWA BR6280
set there is a tower in the middle of the setup that allows for holding
the cable in elevated position as it goes around. You might need to construct a tower with a couple of reels on it (someone suggested
using the reels out of a audio casette) for the cable to travel around/on

There is nor repair service for Lemax
I started in januarie 2010 a repair service on my own'
But have a difficulty with spare parts
sometimes i make spare parts on my own but this takes lots of ours to make it
And if the owner wants a chepa deal it is not possibel
most of the time it is cheaper to buy a new one.
But
Sometimes it is also a loose wire that is the problem
I made today two carousels
and one of the two is already ok
the other one needs a new spare part so i can not fix it at the moment til a have a donor carousel

Here in the netherlands all of the broken lemax items that are going back to the seller are being demoilisht or crached under a walz
I phone them if they would sel these items to me
but that is'n't possibel
so they make it hard for us repair nerds to help people like you
If you are living in the netherlands i ill thake a look at your carousel
if i can fix it it will cost you 20 euro/s
if not 10 for taking time with it

I tried, it looks like its still connected under the two witches that move. Mine got stuck and the witch don't move any more, but i see 2 may be 3 screws under the pot with the skeleton.
