In our case, the error code was displayed on a KitchenAid microwave/oven combo. It turned out to be a $4 fuse called the "Main Cavity Fuse". Good luck.

This happened to me three times with a brand new oven, they kept coming back and replacing the fuse. I finally made the Kitchenaid dealer replace the whole oven, never happened again.

- E0 Door switches do not agree (condition
exists when door switch is closed indicating an open door, and latch switch is
closed indicating a locked door) 1. If door latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
   
2. Check wires and connectors from control to door switch, then from door
   switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to
   step C.
   
3. Replace door switch.
   
4. Re-apply power.
   
5. Press and hold any key down for 1 minute to clear F5 failure code from
   memory. F2 will appear. Press CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure
   operation is correct.

2. If door not latched:

1. Disconnect power from unit.
   
2. Check wires and connectors from control to latch switch, then from latch
   switch to control. If no damage to wires and all connectors okay, proceed to
   step C.
   
3. Repeat steps A and B for door switch.

3. Measure door switch (door open = switch open small low voltage terminals).
Replace switch if defective.
4. Measure latch switch (unlatch = switch open,
CAUTION - oven light contacts are closed). Replace switch if defective.
5. If
corrections are made in any step, reconnect power to control. Press and hold any
key for 1 minute to clear R failure code from memory. F2 will appear. Press
CANCEL and observe for 1 minute to ensure operation is correct.
6. If failure
remains, disconnect power and replace control.

Applies to all F5-E... codes.

yes this is the resullt of inter change wiring connection,wierd outcome function..the only best thing to do is to find a shematic diagram of this unit .or search in the internet...

the kehc359jss mircowave won't start, it says "door" on the display but the door is closed.

f5e1 is a door locking error. try shutting off power for a minimum of 2 minutes to reset the control board. If you still get the error replace the latch. Here is the part to order.

Thanks for using FixYa. Error F2-E0 on your kitchen aid means that the keypad is shorted and to resolve this issue you’ll have to replace the electronic range control/clock (ERC). Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Hello Susan Bailey, Typically "THEY" do... It would be really great to know if we are talking about a USA domestic product... or another NATIONALITY. Other countries normally have FUSES in the appliance cords. Find your MODEL NUMBER and go to a PART/SPARES supplier ( I like appliancepartspros.com ) -> appliancepartspros.com If this is a "MICROWAVE" the FUSE will start popping because the MAGNETRON has deteriorated and is CONSUMING it's own energy. F5 - E1 Self clean latch will not lock

1. If door latched:

Hi. try to reset this unit by killing the power or unplugging the cord for 5 minutes. this will reset the control. if the control continues to beep after you reset, this will confirm control failure. you will need to replace the control board in this case.

• Power unit down by turning off the circuit breaker(s) for one (1) minute.
• Power unit up by turning on the circuit breaker(s).
• Monitor the oven for one (1) minute to ensure the error code does not display again.
• Verify oven operation.

the is an external fan which draws all the moisture away,pull oven out and follows the two wires frm the and make sure both are connected and connected so it is alive when oven is on, if good the probaly a faulty fan
