Blender blade not turning, rotating piece on base not connected

this is getting more and more common there is a part between the motor and the drive gear that snaps for no reason . its job is to snap if the blades jam as a "fuse" to save your house from a overheating ,jammed motor . the problem is there are no parts to buy to fix this . if its new take it back to where you bought it . otherwise shipping it 2 ways for repair to the factory is sometimes as much or more as a new blender ........ i would recomend you do one of two things : go to a goodwill or other type shop and get a nice vintage blender , it will last forever ! or move up to a vita mix . its costly but it will realy last you ... this new made in china junk is just bad news even when it has the kitchen aid name on it . its still the same junk ..... good luck........ Please if this answer helped , please rate this 3 or 4 stars . and keep me in the paid answer department . A 1 or 2 may knock me down into the unpaid ranks. Thanks Cactus Bob .

Wont turn on,just blinking light

This will probably need either a new thermal fuse on the field windings or a new motor.

Melted Coupler

I'm not familiar with that model number but if it is rubber with fingers sticking up then a large flat screwdriver under it and lever it up, bending it a little from 2 different sides and you should then be able to unscrew it (left hand thread I think) with your fingers. Failing that put in extra effort and wreck it off, the threaded part is aluminum and not strong enough to cause any damage to the motor shaft. If the coupling is internal splines in a hole ask me another question.

Kitchenaid blender motor loud hum not working

Can you check it without the beaker on? It could be the blade seizing up, how free does it turn by hand?

Pitcher stuck on base

You will likely need to replace the beaker anyway, the drive which is now melted to the motor coupling is only supplied as part of the beaker/blade assembly. You will also need a motor coupling.

Why does Kitchenaid blender KSB655 have burning smell during operation?

If it is not something to do with the coupling (rubber one on the jug bottom and hard plastic one on top of the motor) then I'd be checking that the cutter shaft is not getting hot. If it was the motor playing up normally they pop into error and stop with flashing lights. The switch panels give very little trouble.

The motor windings have failed. It needs the motor replaced, so it will need to go to a repair center near you. You can find all the information you need from their website.

The coupling is worn and needs to be replaced. I

I drill a hole in the outer rim of the old coupling and then using a hammer and punch in the hole whack it in the same direction it turns when the motor is running. That will eventually unscrew the coupling and you will be able to screw the new one on. There is no need to make a big effort to tighten the new coupling up hard, over time it self tightens with use, that's why you are having trouble undoing it. Just screw it up as far as it wants to go by hand.

Leaking kitchen aid blender

Make sure that the big black nut under the jar is tight. It holds the blade and bearing assembly into the beaker. The odd one can leave the factory not properly tightened up and vibration loosens it off. Nobody is telling you it will be easy to tighten that nut up because it isn't.

Kitchenaid KSB655C5 blender locking collar doesn't go down on one side when assembled. Both sides of locking collar are away and symmetrical when off the jar.

I would say pull it apart again and fiddle about with it a bit paying some attention to that spring loaded ring that's causing you grief. I don't have one here to look at but I know I've seen that problem before and it's something to do with that ring underneath needing to be turned to a certain position so that it engages properly. There are some notches in it that need to be in a p[articular position. We never saw that version for too long, the following model had a plastic beaker without all that rubbish on the bottom.
