Bar support spring location for a kenmore model 385.17824090
The bar support spring on a Kenmore model 385.17824090 sewing machine is located at the back of the machine, near the top. It is typically attached to the back of the sewing machine with a couple of screws, and it helps to support the weight of the sewing machine as you work.
To access the bar support spring, you will need to remove the cover or casing from the back of the sewing machine. This will typically involve removing a few screws or pressing a few clips to release the cover. Once the cover is removed, you should be able to locate the bar support spring.
If you are having trouble finding the bar support spring or are unsure about how to remove the cover from your sewing machine, it is always best to refer to the owner's manual for your specific model. The manual should provide detailed instructions for accessing and replacing the bar support spring.
How can I get my spin cycle to run if my timer is broken
If the timer on your Kenmore washer is broken, there are a few things you can try to get the spin cycle to run:
- Manually advance the timer: If the timer is stuck or not moving, try manually advancing it to the spin cycle. To do this, locate the timer knob and turn it clockwise until it reaches the spin cycle. Once you have manually advanced the timer to the spin cycle, try running the washer to see if it will spin.
- Use a multimeter to test the timer: If the timer is completely broken and not advancing at all, you may need to test it with a multimeter. You can find a multimeter at most hardware or electronics stores. Follow the instructions for using the multimeter to test the timer. If the timer is faulty, you will need to replace it.
- Use a jumper wire: If the timer is not advancing or you are unable to replace it right away, you can try using a jumper wire to bypass the timer and run the spin cycle. To do this, unplug the washer and locate the wires that connect to the timer. Look for the wires that correspond to the spin cycle and connect them with a jumper wire. Once you have connected the wires, plug the washer back in and try running the spin cycle.
Note: It's important to exercise caution when working with electrical appliances. If you are unsure of what you're doing, it's best to seek the assistance of a professional or to contact the manufacturer for guidance.
KENMORE WASHER 110 27802690 NO HOT WATER?
This has probably already been done, but often debris from the hot water line will plug the screen that is at the inlet. this is often a rubber washer with a screen molded into it. scale from water heater and lines builds up and cuts flow way down this video gives an example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xED_4n5e_ww
Kenmore front load washer rocks when spinning and cant seem to get it level so that it doesnt rock side to side
By 'side to side' I'm assuming you mean it's rocking left to right and not front to back? The most common direction it will rock will be on a diagonal line. How far is it rocking? A small amount or a large amount? Small amounts can be adjusted. If it has recently started rocking badly, especially on high spin, it might suggest there is another issue that needs looking at.
Most machines only have adjusters on the front. Wind both feet all the way In then wind them both Out again 5 full turns. You might need a helper for this as you will need to tilt the machine to take the weight off the feet. Physically push and pull the machine to see which direction it is rocking. It will always rock on the highest points. On the corner that lifts wind that foot Out half a turn and the other foot In half a turn. Repeat this using Half or Quarter turns until the machine levels out. If the rocking direction changes sides wind the foot you have just wound Out back In the half/ quarter turn you have just used but Not the other foot.
You might need to 'fine tune' with more eighth and quarter turns over the next few times you use the machine. At this point you only need to adjust the foot that actually lifts off the floor.
If it rocks evenly down the centre line of the machine it might be the actual floor causing the issue.
Top load washing machine will not agitate
You may need to replace the agitator cogs, aka "dog ears". They allow the agitator to work in a ratcheting motion. I have a different washer but have had to replace mine several times. They are plastic and just wear down.
What does LE display mean on my Kenmore front loading washer?
LE indicates that motor was locked. The load in the washer was too heavy for it to spin safely at the usual speed. This could be from too many items in the washer or that something is wrong with the washer rotor hardware.
First try resetting the washer, turn off the machine and unplug it (or turn it off at the circuit breaker). Then press and hold the start/pause button for 5 seconds. (This drains the capacitors that hold the error code in the control panel's memory.)
Try running the washer with it empty. If the LE error continues, you need to check the rotor and the rotor position sensor. You may also need to check that the tub is properly balanced and the wiring to the control panel. To access the rotor, unplug the washer and disconnect the washer hoses. With help, place the washer on it's back to access the rotor and the rotor sensor. You'll need a 17mm socket (or an adjustable wrench and a hammer) to loosen the rotor mounting nut. Replace a damaged rotor or sensor. Check the wiring harness to the sensor and make sure that there is no corrosion either at the sensor or the control panel connection. Check the wiring for continuity on all of the pins. Replace damaged wiring.
Please add a comment with the washer model number if you need a parts diagram. I hope this helps.
