Top burners will noty lite
Hello, this is a strange story.
I had this a few times in the opposite and then I found that it was a LPG cooker in stead of a natural gas cooker.
Did you buy this cooker second hand and did not use it before?
When this cooker is normally natural gas, then the nozzles are much larger then when used for LPG, as the pressure of LPG is much higher as for natural gas.
In that case you can change the nozzles for LPG use
Is this a dual fuel cooker with electric oven?
Kind regards, Dik

My Kenmore gas range trip the GFI plug when I hit the bake button..
hello Joe,
the first thing I think of, is that there is a short-cut with the ground wire.
These short-cuts can be caused by several things. for example humidity, but also a burned insulation.
You have to check that.
ALWAYS BE CAREFULLY WITH ELECTRIC AND UNPLUG THE COOKER BEFORE OPENING IT.
I hope this helps, Dik

Why the smoothtop radiant cooktop element cycles on and off

Table of contents
Does the radiant heating element cycle on and off?
- The surface cooking area may glow red when a heating element is ON.
- Some parts of the surface cooking area may not glow red when a heating element is ON.
- The warming zone element (on certain models) will not glow red.
- Radiant elements have a limiter that allows the element to cycle ON and OFF, even at the HI setting, to prevent damage to the ceramic cooktop. This is normal operation.
- The radiant heating element retains enough heat when off to provide a uniform and consistent heat. The surface will still be hot even though the element has cycled OFF.
- Cycling at the HI setting is normal and can occu
Kenmore Gas Stove gas takes a long time before it will come out
First, I'm not a Kenmore Tech.
* call vendor for service. Gas leaks are hazardous and require a qualified tech to service.
*** The following is for information only.***
* I've always had problems servicing gas stove, heaters, boilers, etc. Lots of unique components that require special tools to service.
* I was surprised to find out that it's better to call on your local Gas Supplier for service. The not only check the supply line but also have a very good working experience with all types of gas fired equipment.
* Slow pilot lighting or burner fire usually means a clogged gas vent or valve. If other burners are working fine, then it's just that particular burner.
* If all burners have the same symptom then it could be a number of things.
* Check gas mains for pressure and flow (you need a gas meter for this but if you have another stove on the same line then it's probable that the mains are okay. Unless the connector or shutoff valve is not working properly (partial open).
* Check gas hose to stove for kinks. Replace if bent (re bending will crack a metal hose.)
* Check the gas regulator (again, need a gas meter)
* Check the feed and branches for gas. If pilot lights are not on then there is a good indication that your not getting gas to that section. (or the pilot is clogged) Clean, clear, or replace pipes/parts.
* Check valve on each burner. This is the most used item on the stove. Expect it to wear out. Replace as needed.
* Final, Be safe; Call your Gas company or MFR tech for service.

Hi Tomtran,
I do not know this cooker, but a lot of cookers have fan between the top and the oven, to prevent the heat of the oven going to the top.
Normally you do not hear them, but when a bearing becomes worser, you can hear and feel the fan.
May be this is the problem?
I hope this helps, Kind regards, Dik

Hello, there are always a lot of problems with the timers.
Of course you can replace the timer, but they are often very costly.
But you can bypass it.
Google on "how to bypass the oven timer" and you will find suggestions.
