My jet ski is lacking power. It ceases to accelerate after 15kph
this jet ski has over 300 hp so should go much faster than this , but now it does have a few features /items that others do not have , one feature in particular that comes to my mind after hearing your description is its smart learning operation mode , or simply refered to as SLO Mode its activated by operators choice of key , do you have a red/blk key or a blu/blk key in the dash ?
since its engine is supercharged there are some other causes that could produce a power loss id consult a watercraft tech for more details as this machine is loaded with diag tech stuff to help a tech figure out whats wrong with it quickly
My jet ski keeps beeping and says HEAT
is the engine and exhaust hot when this happens ?
if not then have the heat sencers checked , if yes then check thermostat and cooling hoses for blockages !
Jet ski troubleshooting
kawasaki ultra 260's are only cooled by lake or sea water so if the water supply gets blocked then it will overheat ! did it definatly overheat or just loose power because the superchargers do sieze up due to damp air or the pully bearing , also the dipsticks on them sometimes shear off and lock the cogs ! does the engine still run up on a hose pipe ? also has the ski been left a long time not used without fogging the valves in the head ? this is my job so get back to me ( 30 yrs ) ..
