CD door will not open

I just fixed the door in my FS-2000. The culprit is the old worn out or stretched rubber belt driving the gears for the door. You need a screwdriver Philips #2 and O-ring #39 [1 7/16" OD x 1 5/16" ID] from hardware store. If you are not confident about DIY repair, ask someone who is. Step by step: Unplug all cables. Unplug optical OUT stopper. Close all speaker and antenna terminal latches in the back. Remove 4 screws in the bottom. Remove 6 screws in the back. When you remove the back, you will see one more screw holding the side (RHS) panel at the top corner - unscrew it. Behind the aluminum heatsink in the back you will see the old belt for the door placed on two plastic pulleys. Remove it with tweezers. Compare with the O-ring, which should be slightly smaller in size. Open CD door with your finger and place the unit on its side. With open door you will have open access to the larger pulley where you place the new O-ring. Use a hook, or a pick, or tweezers to place O-ring on the smaller pulley. Close the CD door at least half way by turning the pulley with your finger. Do not force the door! With fully open CD door you would not be able to re-assemble the side panel because the door gear would stand in the way of the panel latch. First put back the side panel and put back the one corner screw. Make sure all 8 terminal latches (speaker, antenna) are in closed positions. Put back the back cover realigning parts with a small screwdriver; the power plug outlet usually needs to be pushed down a bit. Do not force anything! Put all 6 screws back. Screw back the 4 bottom screws with finer threads. DONE!

Cd lid will not open when I press the button

Hi!

There is a belt inside your player that is used for this mechanism. The belt is off its place or is broken, if you can then change the belt or visit a technician to get it done.

If you find this solution helpful then do rate this solution.

Hello my JVC RX 315 Synthesizer Receiver blows a fuse as soon as i turn power on .. I've replaced countless fuses to no avail . Could you please help me out . Thank You Dwayne from Kansas 2020

Clearly there is a short circuit somewhere in the circuit after the fuse. A close examination of the circuit and components might reveal evidence of the location of the short but if not it will mean disconnecting things one at a time until the short circuit disappears.

Jvc hx-z1 will not output sound to speakers

if you have old speakers laying around the house try to see what happens, if you connected the good speaker and still has no sound then the internal amp maybe is bad. Make sure it is not muted also.LOL

I have a stereo brand jvc mx-kc68 When turning on, the radio makes a hell of a noise after 15 seconds What could this be?

In my experience the JVC brand hasn't maintained it's early promise of quality and I avoid the brand these days. It would have been helpful if you described the noise and mentioned whether it was constant on both FM and AM. Excessive noise isn't unusual on AM due to the inability of the basic circuitry to reject the various sources of interference found in the average home, partly because the AM ferrite rod antenna is usually inside the radio. The average AM radio is highly receptive to receiving and amplifying lots of interference from many sources especially that radiated by fluorescent lighting, cfl bulbs and even nearby mains wiring resulting in a loud hum or buzz. With the high popularity of FM and the introduction of DAB that has increasing popularity, the development of AM receivers ceased several decades ago. FM is immune from that type of interference but is by no means able to reject all interference and a powerful signal from an external antenna produces the best result, the best signal to noise ratio. Assuming the radio isn't faulty, the problem is most likely interference. If the power cord has a ground conductor it is very important it is connected to a good electrically quiet ground. If this isn't possible it could improve things to use an independent ground to the outer conductor of the coax cable to the FM antenna.

WONT PLAY COPIED DVDS ANYMORE

were you able to play copied dvd's on this unit ? if yes then check setting on the dvd menu for things like DVD REGION and DVD playback speed and types of DVD playable, this is quite likely as i ha this problem on a pioneer model previously.

do those copied dvds no longer play on the same unit ? and you have tried them again on another unit or dvd player ?

rather i suspect problems with the DVD burn itself and its compatibility with the dvd player you are palying them on now (asuming settings in DVD enu are correct as loosely outlined above in point 1)

it may be that if this is a new dvd player than the one you played them on before, the dvd's may have to be closed in a certain way using your burning software so that they are playable on standard dvd players.
please also check that region is not an issue and that the recording speed of the dvd (the rip speed) is not too high or too low for your unit, as this data is stored on the written dvd and is responsible for the quality of the palyback data.
