JVC GZ-MG630 Everio 60GB Hard Drive Camcorder read the manual yet say what damaged means, we can not see it blind. no symptoms of evidence show or told nor what works and does not. hopeless now.

connect the power cord turn on insert the cd in a drive it will download the program it is downloads you want ( from the cd or net to your computer uploading is when you send something like opening a search engine to find a page then you download information from that page into the computer

If your camera has a memory card or hard drive stop using it immediately so as to not record anything on it over any other recording. There is software out there that can recover erased material if nothing has been recorded over it such as other pictures , videos. You install the hard drive or memory card into a compute with the software and if you are fortunate you may be able to get it back.

See if you can reset camera to factory defaults. If not then you have a serious issue with the camera electronics. Think that puppy is ready for retirement since repair, if available, will cost a small fortune and not be worth it.

The unit may be locked due to the head needing cleaning. Try removing the battery for 30 minutes or so and then resetting it.

Try reversing the actions you made to see if you can restore operation of your capture program. And if you do, I would suggest that you do not reinstall in your computer the software for the still pictures since there is a conflict. Better still, If you have a system restore point dated before you introduced the still software, I would try that first . Good luck!

It is indeed a CCD sensor problem, and replacement is the only option if you wish to keep using the camcorder.

I lost videos on my jvc ax230 and wonder if it has a internal memory

This camcorder can be connected to a TV with the S-video connection (JVC recommends their YTU94146A S-Video cable) or two RCA connections. If you use an RCA composite cable, you use only one of the two audio connections (white) and the yellow video cable. To connect this camcorder to a computer, you need a USB video capture device and some type of video capture software.
