I have a 91 40 horse Johnson boat motor that will only run on choke what can I do to fix this

Sounds like ideal jets are blocked or your fuel filter or fuel lines are partial blocked .
By using the choke you are making the engine suck fuel insted of of being pumped in to it .please take it to be repaired because it can all go wrong really quick and when your in the water fire can happen really quick and it never ends good.
Please don't cut corners just get it repaired at the marine. Its not like a car .the engine that can have a quick fix .

Where do the two wires that come from the oil tank go to on a Johnson 200

Normally they go to the console wiring harness. The tank has a low oil sensor in it . Has the system been by bypassed? When it is ,you have to add oil to to gas .

8 HP Johnson outboard has no fire on either cylinder it would rum yesterday, no fire today.

Assuming you have compression in cylinders, it's either fuel or spark. Smell gas? If so it's flooded, Try starting w/o choke. Wait ten minutes and try again. Next check and examine the spark plugs. Best to change them. Are they wet? If so you are getting fuel. Then it's spark. May need service for that unless you are a mechanic.

I am not getting any spark from outboard engine on a1978 johnson motor what do ilook for?

Could be time to replace either your coil or points, either way at that age it would be a good idea. Not sure it your motor has the low oil cut-off but it it does check that and the oil level.

My 115 johnson is fludding badly, petrol is streaming from two small pipes in the opening of carburator

it sounds like your carburetor float is stuck, sometimes you can tap on the carb. bowl to dislodge the stuck float.carburetor probably needs cleaning.what type gas have you been using?need to use only non ethanol fuel.

1974 70hp Johnson outboard,hi there I was coming back from fishing when my motor just stopped it had been running fone before this happened. I tried to start it but would not fire had plenty of gas in tank.was turning over good but nothing, any help would be much appreciated thank you

Check the ignition system, check for spark at the plug, if it has no spark check your points, ignition coil, etc. If it has spark you need to check the fuel system so that's gonna boil down to an obstructed fuel line, a clogged fuel filler, or something in the carburetor(s). That should lead you to figuring it out my friend, best of luck. It's always either air, fuel, or spark! If one or more of the 3 are missing it'll never run(not right if it does), those basics always apply to an internal combustion engine of any age or size, whether carbureted or fuel injected.
