I HAVE A 2004 INT'L 4300 DT466E WITH A CODE 611
THE PEDAL DOESN'T STAY DOWN ALL THE WAY, BUT YOU CAN PUSH IT DOWN AND RUNNING ABOUT 40 TO 55 MPH. WHEN YOU TAP ON IT, (AS IF TRYING TO GO THROUGH A TURPIT) SHE WILL GET UP AND GO. HAVE CHECKED BRAKE SWITCHES, ALL ARE WORKING FINE.
PUTTING TRUCK ON A SCALE, SHE IS DRIVING TOWARD THE BACK OF THE SCALE. THIS SAME PEDAL PROBLEM HAPPENS IN ALL GEARS. (1ST OR 2ND) & A LITTLE BIT WHEN APPLYING THROTTLE IN 3RD OR 4TH GEAR. I HAVE REPLACED MASTER CYLINDER, AND ALSO PUMP WITH NO CHANGE.
ANY IDEAS OUT THERE?
CODE 611 - 14A IS THE TECHNICIAN DESCRIPTION OF BRAKE SYSTEM PRESSURE TOO HIGH DUE TO A FAULTY MASTER CYLINDER OR PUMP. CHECK THE BRAKE SYSTEM PRESSURE FOR PROPER LEVEL AT IDLE WITH NO BRAKES APPLIED AND WHILE DRIVING. IF THE SYSTEM IS FILLING UP, THEN CODE 14A WILL OCCUR WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES AS YOU ARE LOSING BRAKE PRESSURE BECAUSE THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS OVERFILLING. THEREFORE, WHEN YOU APPLY A SENSITIVE BRAKE PEDAL, THE MASTER CYLINDER OR PUMP IS NOT ABLE TO HANDLE THE JOB AND THUS CODE 14A WILL OCCUR DUE TO PRESSURE BEING LOST IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM. THIS IS MORE OF A NORMAL OPERATING CONDITION AND IS NOT BAD. YOU ARE JUST USING THE SYSTEM PROPERLY BECAUSE IT NEEDS THAT MUCH BRAKE FORCE TO STOP THE TRUCK. NOTE: CODE 14A WILL OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN THE BRAKE SYSTEM IS DRY OR LOW ON FLUID AND CODE 14B WILL OCCUR MORE FREQUENTLY WHEN THE BRAKE SYSTEM HOLDING PRESSURE WISE IS MORE THAN NORMAL. THIS IS PROBABLY DUE TO A LEAK IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM BECAUSE THE OVERFILLING ALSO FORCES BRAKE FLUID INTO THE ABS OR AIRBAG MODULES. THEREFORE, WHEN YOU APPLY THE BRAKES AND RELEASE THEM, THE CODE 14A MAY DISAPPEAR BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT USING UP PRESSURE VERY FAST.
CHECK ALL HOSES AND LOOK FOR LEAKS. IF NO LEAKS ARE FOUND, THEN PUT SOME FLUID IN THE SYSTEM AND CHECK FOR A LOSS OF FLUID UNDER BRAKE APPLICATION.
IT IS NOT UNCOMMON TO GET THIS CODE. ALSO CHECK THE BRAKE SWITCHES ON THE STEERING COLUMN THAT CONTROLS WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS BEING APPLIED AND RELEASED TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE WORKING PROPERLY.

Whats wrong with a 93 volvo 850 when the timing
U have bent the valves ..........when the belt broke......... i presume u have timed the engine properly, u could do a compression check to make sure,........ but sounds like a new head is nessary or take to garage very extensive job will cost a lot
VX Holden Commodore misfiring
possibly the coil pack, plug wire, spark plug, broken valve spring.
these are just some of the problems that could cause the misfiring and the easiest to check.
