I have a jbl charge, got a new samsung note 4 today and cannot make it pair, had no problems with my note 2 pairing. any ideals?
JBL Link 20 New device set up issue.
I called LVL 2 Tech support at (877) 871-6755 for my set up new device issue. The support person was very helpful and recognized this issue to be very common.
COA 1: I had already tried resetting my speaker using the pin hole button next to the USB power connector on the back. This did nothing as far as I could tell
COA 2: (Best Solution) look for the microphone on/off button under the power on/off button located on the back of the speaker. Press and hold down the microphone button for 10-13 seconds. The lights above the power button will flash a reddish color. This indicates the speaker is reset to factory settings.
Completely close Google Home app and reopen the app. You should notice some options changed. Go through the simple “setup new device” process and it should allow you to get Link 20, Google Assistant, and your home WiFi on the same page.
I am having an additional issue because I’m currently traveling and using hotel WiFi. Because of public WiFi firewalls here, Google doesn’t like it and won’t let me completely finish setup through Google Home app. Once I get home to my personal home WiFi I will complete the factory reset function again. Until then, I have great Bluetooth for music and movies while traveling.
Good luck and hope this helped.
(All the info I just passed on is basically what the Google LVL 2 Tech Support agent talked me through)

Does the L:ED light behind the JBL logo on their EON 518S Subwoofer need to be connected?
Posted by Glen Smith on May 09, 2019
Hello Glen, if you ask, if it is necessary to connect the LED light, so that the EON518S, not work, it is not necessary, your JBL, will work fine, you just will not know if it is on or off, when it is not amplifying something
I hope my explanation has been useful
Greetings Franco Dosil

JBL flip 4 keeps turning on after manually turned off. This started after submerged in water. Did hard reset but has not helped.
Hello Seth, for what you say, it is very feasible that your JBL, have humidity, enough to make it light again
Tip, apply hot air, with a hair dryer, at the lowest speed and at least 50 centimeters away, for two or three sessions of 30 seconds
Then, let it ventilate and test later, if the proper functioning is reestablished
I hope you solve the problem
Greetings Franco Dosil

Turns off on its own
If you feed the speakers a sub-audible tone, they will stay on and will not interfere with your notification tones. Use an online tone generator at <10Hz and make sure the system volume is turned all the way up. You may need to reduce the tone volume on the website to prevent pulsing of your notification tones.

Explain connections - harmon kardon 130 to 4 jbl satellite speakers one middle speaker and seperate jbl subwoofer 140/230
Hello Ranasinghe, you must connect a JBL satellite for each Main L and R output (2 speakers in total)
Connect one JBL for each Surround L and R output (2 speakers in total)
The middle speaker, to the output of the Central channel and the subwoofer, if active or powered, to the RCA subwoofer output on the amplifier
This way you would have all the speakers connected in the Harman Kardon 130

Why did the right side stop working?
I have the same set and mine broke on me too. Though mine was the left side. It looks like you've opened up the back piece but you can get to the meat of it if you just push on the pole that ear piece sits under push back on it(don't snap) and use a little upward force on the ear piece. Then you can see where the wire has most likely disconnected. If it hasn't on that side you can do the same on the other side, it most likely has disconnected from the PCB as the wires are very very thin(what happened to mine). Just use a soldering iron and heat up the solder on the pad and put the wire back on. You need to make sure that the wire is exposed from the insulation first(I could use my nail to pull it off but the right wires looked different). I attached a picture I took with the PCB exposed. On the left and right you can see the two grey prongs you need to put some pressure on to remove the rocker and get in. On the PCB at the top left you can see the 4 pads the speaker wires connect to. My left speaker was disconnect so you won't see wires on there(red and black). right beside it is the right speaker connection(blue and white wires). those should be attached like in the picture.Use a soldering iron only if you have experience or with someone who does. I don't take responsibility for burns or fires or any other crazy mishaps. Doing this could break your headphones further, by burning the PCB or snapping the rockers on the side or any number of other things that could go wrong. So only do this if you already don't care if they break further.
