My turntable appears to be uneven. it looks like a rolling hill when spinning, can this be fixed
Is it just the matt that records sit on that's the problem or the whole platter?
If it is the matt you can peel it off and get a new one from somewhere such as as Amazon. It doesn't have to be the same brand as the turntable as long as it fits on.
Just search for "turntable matt".
If the platter is the problem it might be caused if the platter is plastic by either a chemical or heat warping the platter. Has it been exposed to the sun for example? Some chemicals such as oil and polish can cause it to bend out of shape.
It's likely if the platter has warped that it will need to be replaced.
No sound on the tailgater
My tailgater is from the US, and I live in NZ. I changed the voltage to NZ and while the unit did work straight out of the box, after a month of me not using it, it now no longer has any volume. I have tried all the knobs but thats as far as my knowledge goes! Does anyone have any solutions I can try? thanks!

How many grooves are on a typical 45 rpm record?
The question could be answered easily if records had a fixed groove pitch. However, they use a variable pitch so that loud passages do not overcut into softer passages. According to the RIAA Bulletin No.E4 of 1963, a 7" 45 r.p.m. record should have between 16 to 32 grooves-per-inch.
