The current unit sold by Brookstone does not have a power cord. The unit is sealed and the battery is not replaceable. Many units eventually quit working when recharging cycle quits. Only solution is to replace the unit or contact Brookstone for their service center. Probably cheaper to replace the unit.

We found a repairman!!
Our 10 yr old EMS-9 Interactive Health chair just stopped working about 6 mos ago. After getting no help at all from Interactive Health, except to buy a new chair (!), we finally found a man who fixed it. It was a pinched wire in the remote. A simple fix. He tried to charge us only $20.00! (We gave him much more, it was worth it) We love this chair! You would think that the company would be more forthcoming with repair options if they want people to recommend their products. Anyway, hope this helps someone else too. You've already diagnosed the problem then? If it's visible and obvious put some photos up and fixya will hopefully try to suggest a way forward I have absolutely no idea who actually manufactures these, to get spares, although I have found the parent company.
