Tolerance of ingenico i6550 to electrical fault

We have i6580's and they have a theft protection feature that if they get slammed the screen will go black but the green power light is on. When this happens they need to go back to the factory to be reset. If the green light is off and the screen is blank they are not getting power. Check the cable connections. Also, sometimes the USB cable gets damaged which will cause connection failure.

Hi there,

Well first of all you try to reset your ingenico i6550 -

1. Turn off the power, wait 5 seconds, and turn on the power.
2. Simultaneously press and release keys CNT (Cancel), Enter, 0 (zero).
When the screen dims, release all three keys.

Press terminal reset button for few seconds.

Post comments if further you have the same problem.....

Error code 106

do this
The error "ComponentMoveData...Error Number: -106..." indicates that the installer cannot decompress a file. This can happen if the CD-ROM is dirty or damaged, if hard disk space is insufficient, or if the installer conflicts with an application or device driver.
You could try copying the contents of your CD-ROM (or the essential folders) to your HDD or a network drive. You will soon find out of there is dirt or damage on the CD, and if not, you can easily then install from your HDD or network drive.
