Turn it off then turn it back on again.

I think phone needs software reset. Below is the link about performing soft reset and hard reset on HTC touch. Try soft reset first. if it doesn't work, try hard reset. If after hard reset still no success, try to flash firmware. But I think hard reset can resolve the problem. Note, that hard reset will delete the storage entirely, so backup any data befor performing those manipulations.

i know how it sucks when you purchase a new mobile and you face something like this. But i have an answer for you. i had the same problem last week and i have found a solution from one of my friends. this problem happens when you open many programs at the same time and the programs are stiull running under. To solve the problem go ahead and turn off your G1 mobile for about 30 seconds. it will start working when you turn on your G1. turning off your G1 will close all the programs running under...good luck

HTC sucks or atleast HTC P3300 sucks.... i am having that phone and its giving lot of problem... about sd card.... it had withme also i it was not working in my phone but in othere it was working fine but anyways i changed to new sd card and that stupid phone was able to detect that new card....

HTC phones and all android phones use much more battery life then your previous phones. they run many applications all at the same time, whether you want it to or not. To save battery life, download an app killer from the marketplace. I purchased an extended battery and it made it much more tolerable about charging occurances

If you use an adapter to convert the mini usb connection to headphones you can use it otherwise you will need headphones with the usb plug or a bluetooth set. I find most of my Tilt accessories on EBAY.

The G1 Doesnt support Bluetooth A2DP yet, meaning it cant stream music via Bluetooth. Yet !

The headphone icon means that you are connected to either a headset or bluetooth for external audio.
If these are not plugged in or running, it would be the headset connector is stuck, thinking that you have a headset still plugged in.
Unfortunately you wil need to visit a service centre for this.

Try turning off all wireless, incl bluetooth and see if this goes away

And for the last and the most important step, the easiest and actually the best way to speed up your PDA is a good hard reset. But I advice you to backup all your important data with a backup software or manually because all your data will be lost after a hard reset. You can use motorola V3 charger as an alternative charger,htc charger is difficult to find and expensive as well,i'm also using the same phone as yours and i never had a problem using motorola charger,but if you really want HTC charger,you can go to CITY PLAZA at Quiapo,manila,but not sure of getting original charger,only class A is available,or even go to any mall nearest you,might spot original HTC charger as well.

my best thing to try is to take out the battery or try to reset it
