Print two sided paper
You need the accessory that permits two sided printing. Check HP web site for that part to make sure you have it and have it installed. Once installed, if you have the HP printer driver software installed and up to date for your computer operating system (PC or MAC), when you request a PRINT you will see PROPERIES button in the print dialog box. Tap that button and scroll down to TWO Sided Printing. That's it.
This is a setting that will only stay active for the current print job. If you want the default to be two sided printing you can set that in the HP Solution Center under Printer Settings.
Why doesn't paper feed from the tray to print?
There's a chance that the pick up roller has a lot of paper dust on it. You can get cleaning paper from an office supply. It is sticky on both sides of the sheet. You run it through several times to clean all the rollers on the printer.
Looking for a service manual
I hate to say it but good luck. HP makes very little available for the standard officejet products in terms of parts or manuals. They mostly treat these as return to HP for repair or if under warranty they do a exchange for a refurbished unit.
