Homelite Plumbing - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support
Hi. i have a homelite
Most likely this is a problem with the carburetor if you get some ether spray and try to spray it at the carburetor intake if the unit keeps running and you know there's a gas jet that's clogged you probably need a carburetor or perhaps a rebuild usually the part is between 50 and $100 but you need someone to put it in
Ap-125 homelite gas watwer pump pull cord replace
few years late but here: guessing your problem area is the impeller blade? remove impeller blade by turning clockwise ( i put a screwdriver in the pull cord fin to stop shaft). Then remove spring around rubber gasket behind blade (then rubber gasket pulls off shaft. everything else just UN-bolts. Just figured it out myself today.

No spark on Homelite 2500 PSI , 2.3 gpm power washer
Hi executive342
Make sure you are getting spark at the spark plug, to do this:Remove your spark plug and check to be sure you are getting a bright blue spark at the spark plug. You do this by grounding the plug on the head of the engine and pulling the crank rope...watching the plug for spark. If you are getting a nice blue spark then skip A below and go to B.
A...If you do not get a nice blue spark then you may need to replace the electronic module.Note: If you have to replace the module be sure to measure the position it is in and be sure to install it in the same position Normally the clearance is around .10 thousandsandsAlso write the measurement down on a piece of paper for later reference, this measurement is critical to starting of the engine later.
B...Also take some fine grit sandpaper (not emery) and lightly sand the flywheel where the magnet is located to clean any rust or corrosion from the magnet area. You can also try to lightly sand the module metal face to increase the possibility of ignition of the old module before replacement. Please take time to rate meBud

Unit runs great. I beleive I am getting too much
There is no control on how much oil is sent to the chain.
You should be using about a tank of oil to a tank of Gas
Things to check Are you using Chain and bar oil or regular oil
Chain and bar oil is thicker and has additives to make the oil stickier. regular oil is thinner and tends to run out of the saw when you are not using it.
If you are using correct oil and using to much sounds like the oil pump needs to be replaced
My late husband bought a
usually on the fuel cap it has the mixture, usually 40 to 1 is a safe bet,a little too much oil in the mix is better than less
