How do replace the fuse in the fan cuz it stopped working

The fuse is usually in the plug, that you plug into wall socket. If you look at the plug, you should see a small, rectangular slot with a small tab at one end. Get a small screwdriver to slide it open. The fuse is in there.

Wire box fan direct bypass switch

Am I the only one reading that the OP is asking about a box fan.....never seen lights on a box fan...

I'm also trying to bypass the 3 speed knob on my box fan. Is it possible? I ask because preliminary testing of holding wires to each other turned the blade but began getting hot and with enough time I'm sure would've been a pretty nice fire.

My oil filled heater is making a buzzing noise every 15 minutes or so what wrong with it?

Probably the thermostat contacts have become worn and a certain amount of arcing is happening when they close. Replacement thermostat units used to be easy to change and were readily available for quality domestically manufactured oil filled radiators but these days it would probably be cheaper to buy an imported heater. You wouldn't lose by asking your local supplier and if they are still available check the internet price. It would be wise to check the wiring and internal connections before junking it.

Space heater stops working after 2-3 minutes

The problem is most likely the over heating sensor thermostat located directly under the heating elements - The reason the over-heat safety thermostat sensor is tripping the warning buzzer is because either the cool air fan intake is obstructed with dust / dirt, or the fan motor stopped rotating, or the over-heating condition thermostat is defective, or over sensitive - Usually when the cool air intake is obstructed for any reason, the heating elements will glow brighter, and hotter without good air flow, and the elements may start to bow downwards closer to the over-heating safety thermostat - However, if the safety thermostat is defective, it can trigger the warning buzzer even though there may not be an over-heating condition / event present - The buzzer warning going off prematurely also occurred with my Holmes space heater - I checked the air flow first, and then the appliance tip-over switch second - Both were found functioning properly - It wasn't until I replaced the safety over-heating thermostat, did the buzzer stop going off moments after I plugged the space heater in an outlet.

Samson sound system in a church has a continuous hum. Speakers are not routed around fluorescent lights or power lines.

You have a short. This is either from a bad cable or a faulty price of gear.

to find the problem do you want to isolate pieces of the system. Turn on just your speakers (if they're powered) or amps (if the speakers are not powered). With the mixer off, if you were getting a pause the short exists after the mixer. No buzz? Great! Turn the amps or speakers off to prevent popping. Turn on the mixer, and then turn on the speakers or amps. If you have a bus now with all channels on the mixer down it is likely your mixer. If there is no buzz, Bring the channels up one at a time. Once you find the buzz, turn the channel back down and plug unknown working microphone and cable into its channel. If the Mike buzzes when you bring the channel up it's the channel on the mixer. If it does not then the issue exists before the mixer. This is most likely and also the least expensive to resolve. Check the snake if you have one and all cables in line in a similar fashion. Most likely a snake channel has failed, you have a bad cable plugged in the snake Or you have a bad DI box or mic plugged in.

Happy hunting

Hi, I have a pedestal

Seriously?? It's a $30.00 fan. IF you could get parts for it, they'll cost you more that the original price of the fan, but I guess if you insist. Go here and call them or chat online, they'll tell you if parts can be had. https://www.holmesproducts.com/fans/

Holmes HTF 3409 AR Tower Fan Will Not Turn On

We bought one from our neighbors in a garage sale that did NOTHING when turned on. If you attempt to turn the fan on and you cannot feel, or hear, it make any kind of humming sound, mostly likely the thermal fuse in the motor is open. An ohms check of the windings will reveal an open fuse. Probably 99.99% of all people will have to thrown their fans away at that point as it would be too costly to have it repaired as the fuse was never intended to be replaced. As an electronics tech for 40 years I am cheap enough and experienced enough to be able to find the fuse and replace it, albeit it can be a little tricky. The reason the fuse blew (opened) is because the shaft that the fan spins about was gunked up from years of accumulating dust, etc. The lubricant that is suppose to let the bushings (no bearings, just two bushings; one on the top and one on the bottom) spin freely gets guey over the years and slows the fan down and it can't spin freely anymore. That causes the motor to overheat trying to get the fan to spin. The overheated motor in turn blows the fuse to prevent a fire. SO, if you can catch the problem before it gets to the point to blowing the fuse you can salvage your fan and get a lot more years of normal use out of it. If you notice your fan running slowly, or if it doesn't coast for a little while when you turn it off (it stops fast or suddenly) or if you stick something through the air fins in the front cover (WITH THE POWER DISCONNECTED) and attempt to spin the motor but it doesn't spin freely, then the bushings are drying up and the motor is about to blow open the motor thermal fuse. If you can find a friend who is handy they can disassemble the fan fairly easily and relub the bushings. Otherwise, it's dumpster material.

Locate the 3 lock tabs in the base of the unit. Turn them clockwise until the base of the tab lines up with the indentions in the base and lift off the housing. 4. Locate and turn the lock tab clockwise on the base holding the wick fram. Remove the wick frame and set it aside. 5. Remove the old wick by pulling the bottom of the wick out of the frame first and discard. 6. Insert the new wick top first. Ensure wick is in between the tabs at the top of the wick frame then slide the bottom part of the wick into the fram, making sure not to crush the bottom corners of the wick. 7. My holmes heater will not turn on, but the light

Same problem, I took it apart and found that the thermostat had failed, there are "points" burnt out (like in older cars distributors) that make contact at the thermostat and there were some solder joints which had come loose as well, adding up to no contact through the "hot" side of the wiring. Basically it's not something you can repair, just go buy a new heater, they're about $30. If you decide to try to fix it, beware, it might be dangerous if you don't do everything exactly right, also beware that parts might cost more than the heater.

Red light on air filter

After spending hours searching for this supposed little hole easy to miss, I called customer service. I found out that it's easy to miss because it doesn't exist!

Here's the correct answer: Once you've replaced the filters, turn the unit back on. Then, with the machine running, press and hold down the on/off power button for about two seconds. The red light will flash and then turn off.
