It is a quick release chuck, grip the body and twist the chuck anti-clockwise.

Use the chuck key to open the jaws of the chuck as wide as possible. Look down into the chuck and you will see a screw head. Use a screw driver to take this screw out BUT turn the screw CLOCKWISE as if you were tightening it as the bolt will have what is known as a left hand thread. With the screw bolt out put your key back on the chuck and using a wooden or rubber mallet give the key a tap as if to turn the whole chuck ANTI-CLOCKWISE. This should enable you to rotate the chuck off by hand. If it is still stuck give it a sharper tap.

Suggestion if the wires (and their connectors) on the electric field and the powerswitch- and some electronic assembly can also have somewhere a faultering contact .

hi I would not advice to by pass the electronic control as this will result in shorting the life of the drill .it also could catch fire

Disconnect the drill from Battery/Voltage supply. Spray little bit of WD-40 on the switch. Move the switch forward/backward few times to remove the dust/grime. Allow sufficient time to evaporate the WD-40, clean with a tissue paper area around the switch. Now try with Battery or Power , the Forward/Reverse swithes. Hope it works.

THE TOOL IS LOW ON OIL. OR POSSILBE SEAL ISSUE, IT TAKES ITS OWN OIL, HAVE TO GET IT FROM HILTI!!! BE PREPARED YOU HAVE TO BUY A GALLON AT A TIME! IT HURTS!!! OR YOU CAN SEND IT TO HILTI AND YES THEY WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO FIX IT FOR YOU OR GIVE YOU CREDIT TOWARD A NEW ONE, THATS HOW THEY WORK!

Only thing I have seen about oil is wipe down tool bits with oil damp rag and I see in below link 5.1.3, tool bit should have thin layer of greases applied before inserting in drill.
