RE: power supply in set: if total dead aside from main fuse the set uses astandby power supply that runs 7/24 and a main supply (some are combined andsome not.Here aside from checking fuses you want to examine all the filter caps on thepower/standby to see if any are puffed up or buldged up in some fashion--Iattach a photo of a good one---top should be silver metal and PERFECTLY flatand have no brown material coming out on top or bottom.What happens in the standby area is they use caps with too low a voltage rating(saves money) which causes them to fail in a year or two---the standby runs7/24 and the heat dries out the caps and they fail.3. Trouble shooting consists of the above and then at some point you have tobuy and try a board to see if it fixes it or not.4. Safety first--no TV set is worth getting injured or even killed over.

this is a big problem which you can't solve by yourself. some times software problem , the tv want to be upgraded. this operation is very delicate and must be performed by a professional technician . second solution is to remove the digital board, here again , that board is expensive and i know you can;t take risk to do by yourself. Solution. if you are under warranty call the company which will fix for free or bring it in repair shop.

Have you tried pressing on the format button? On most cases this is caused because of the format the channel is transmiting, when you turn off and on again the TV auto-formats. But you can solve this by pressing the format button on your remote. Let me knows if it helps.

Switch off analogue subtitle.
Scroll to 1st subtitle and then scroll through the languages until "off" comes up.
Repeat for 2nd subtitle.

This tv is a flat LCD tv wright?Not a big bulge back CRT tube tv,If this is CRT tv is analoge design tv dosen't have freeview Digital Tuner inside of the tv.If it is a flat LCD tv.Make sure ur setting for retuning not on CALBE SETTING.Make sure ur tv setting are AIR SETTING and have good Digtial antena will get a stronger signal get all the free AIR broadcasting stantoins channels,a good strong Digital antenna design does make big a different.

I have same model tv but power supply board is faulty. I am in India. Any suggestions for repair or replace the power supply board.Moses

I had this same problem. Changing it from 'Home Mode' to 'Store Mode' (Menu > Setup > Mode Setting > Store Mode) should do the trick.

Whilst on TV Mode:
Open the menu and go to features then subtitle.

I believe this classed as a monitor and the display format is 16:9. You may be able to activate the on screen menu with the side buttons and change the aspect ratio for whatever programing needs you have. In any case there are usually a lot of options packed into those menus. Good luck

First start with the set itself and look for any control switches that might control the power. Also check the back of the set for a master switch. If it isn't there take your remote and get into the menu function it shouldn't be hard to find. Look for anything that says something about power, it should say "power management" but it could all be under the sleep or stand by function. I cannot understand what the need for such a function is, for years the old "OFF" switch has done a fantastic job of power management. I guess it's no old fashion now, the living room light will be the next thing to go. I wish I was familiar enough with the set to tell you exactly which button to push but I would have to do a lot of research and I don't charge for my services, I just go on past experience. I've always had to search the remote to find what I needed and sometimes the over kill of gadgets is hard to hack through. One quick solution is if you have a kid from 5 - 15 years old around give them the remote they will be in it in a couple seconds. dhgill1949
