Red light coming on ; tank is filling up. I drain
Fortunately, from what you have described, the unit is working as it should. But, the frequency that it's occurring is what I think you're concerned about.
If you are operating the Dehumidifier Mode along with the Cooling Mode, this will generate more water in the tank and require more frequent draining. Running the Dehumidifier and the AC (Cool) at the same time is not recommended. It reduces the cooling capacity of the AC Mode and generates heat in the room. And, as you already know, more water.
Hope this helps you and thanks for choosing FixYa.
The styrofoam inside the unit is covered in black
Any mold in any part of the unit is not good, especially if its in the Styrofoam, Styrofoam has pores and hides the mold spores well, it would be dangerous to actually run the unit with mold spores as it can travel inside the house. Unfortunately companies that make these units don't make these units mold proof, why should they? that's how they make their money. I have three units, one has always given me problems with mold. It always comes back. The other two are always clean. My best advice, get rid of the unit and get another one or get a free estimate on Central air and heat. Mold is very dangerous and is not worth the risk, it can cause a number of medical issues.
Removal of front panel on Haier window unit
There's 2 plastic clips that hold the top of the front cover to the metal, about 2-3 inches from the outside, on each side. Pull away the bottom several inches and push down on the metal while pulling on the plastic.
I have been using the
Our Commercial Cool, Model # CPN10XCJwill go into cooling when first switched on then after approx 20 min it just stars blowing warm air this is preceded by a change in the sound of the motor.
Unit is off and displays blinking stop and won't come on...
My unit shut down in the middle of the night and had the blinking STOP on a dark screen, would beep 10 times when plugged in aswell. I set the unit on top of a pan and opened the bottom water drain plug. After draining alot of water out the unit allowed itself to be turned back on again. Guess its either extremely humid or the dual hose setup doesn't evaporate the water as fast as they made out. Anyways, I haven't found anyone else post this so I hope this helps someone out there.
Haier AC window unit showing code "EO"
It's a "drainage system trouble" code.
The compressor run light flashes in 10 flash increments.
You should be able to check whether condensate is draining from the unit.
If not draining, that's your problem.
Haier air con duct type display error f9
Google Haier air conditioner error codes. Also check the code I see codes F0 through F4. F9 is not listed could it be a "4" instead of a "9"? F4 is the air flow sensor is off.
