The most common problem for no FM is the failure of component F1 IF transformer. One of the windings on the transformer opens, so you have either no input, or a very low level input to the FM mixer. You need to obtain a copy of the Satellit 700 service manual, and then find F1 in the schematics. You can check the windings with a simple ohm meter to verify if one of the windings is open or not. If F1 is defective, and I have seen many 700's with this fault, you need to replace it with an adjustable 10.7 MHz IF Transformer in a 7mm can configuration. I found a replacement 7 mm 10.7 MHz IF Transformer at Talon Electronics. Their part number for it is IND2134, and it costs a whopping $0.80. If powered by external adapter and the wiring is good along with the connector then that unit is bogus and ready for the garbage pile.

Install batteries. Press and HOLD down alarm button. While holding down alarm button, press hour button until hour is set, then press minute button until your time is set. release alarm button and set time will be saved. Activate alarm function, by selecting band and station, pressing alarm button, and alarm indicator appears and alarm is on. The station will play when alarm time is reached.

Most likely damage to the solid state components, some are protected from this but it all depends.

You will need to contact Grundig for this, but really doubt they will supply it unless you are a repair shop that that is authorized to repair their equipment.
