Central heating pump stops running
If you can not hold your hand on the motor for a count of 10 when it has cut out, the motor has overheated and needs to be replaced or find some reason for an overload.
What causes my booster pump to increase pressure even after I shut power and or water supply off?
something wrong here. your incoming pressure is 4 psi ( tank pressure to the pump and you use a pump to boost pressure to a maximum of 65 psi at which point the pump is shut off ( all taps close off)
yet with no pumps running the pressure goes up to 100 psi
Find where you are getting pressure in that is making the pump leak
if you have 100 psi to the pump when it is turned off, then it would not be turning on ( power on) as the shut off pressure is set at 65 psi and the line pressure is 100 psi
How do we lower the waterflow from our Grundfos cm booster p2 waterpump
Put a valve anywhere in the pump outlet piping that is convenient and throttle the flow on the pressure side. Grundfos pumps are well built and will handle the small increase in pressure.
Do NOT restrict the inlet to the pump as inlet restriction can lead to cavitation and early pump failure.
Booster pump is running but no water coming
It needs a supply of water. If this is used as a booster pump, check that the water inlet valve is open. It will pass water in this type of application.
If it is used to pump from a storage tank or well, it has lost it's prime. Either the tank ran empty or the water level in the well fell below the suction or too deep for the pump to lift it.
You probably have probably over heated it and melted the impellers.
Check the suction piping. If there is any failure, it won't work. It will not pump water if there is any way it can suck air. Fix the pipe and prime the pump by filling it with water. There is a plug on top for this. Here is a link to the manual.

You have to open a faucet on the discharge to allow it to pump the air out of the system and suck up the water. Five minutes at a time. It will over heat. Let it rest and cool off. Pour more water in it. This will ruin the pump. If no air is pushed out, the pump is probably toast.
Repairing it will cost so much and is so hard to do, you will be better off buying a new one. I tried it once. Not worth it.
Why does my shower faucet cold side not turn on right away
You need to replace the stem and the faucet seat. Your bib washer is worn out and you need to turn it extra to open. You could replace the washer and not the stem, but it would be worth it to replace the stem. Take the handle and trim off. Take the special deep plumber's socket to remove the stem. Use the special seat wrench to remove the seat. If you don't replace the seat, it will tear up the new washer and you will have to do it over again with the new seat.
Take both to the hardware store and get two of each. Do both sides. Doing one will just leave you having to do the other soon.
If you don't understand what I mean, you need to find someone to do it for you.
Grundfos MQ3-35 hums loudly and does not pump.
Pump probably runs dry, try to fill up the pump with water a few times and see what it gives. If the pump heats up then the rotor is turning but no water moves, pressure is not building up. Pressure switch is maybe faulty. If you have the possibility to connect a pressure gauge after the dicharge you can see if the pressure is building up or not.

Why does our Grundfos water pump keep kicking on?
Mine did that. Little known that the Grundfos MQ pump has a small pressure tank on the end. If the pressure is low and the air volume is therefore low, then any tiny loss of water results in pressure drop and pump cycles on. Check the pressure in the tank. This is not well described in the Grundfos service manual. To pump up the pressure bladder:1. remove the rear cylindrical cover (swift bash with a fist downwards)2. unscrew plastic cap on the end (about 2 inches diameter with tapered sides3. attach pump to schrader valve and pump up (22-25 psi according to service manual)Reassemble.Suggest teflon tape to schrader valve stem to try to create a secondary airtight seal.
Pump turns on and off constantly when in use. It
Shut power off to pump drain system, if you have a tank with a valve stem on it (like your car tires) you need to check to see if the pressure is around 20 to 35 (or check the manufacture specifications on it), close all open lines and turn power back on. You can not compress water just the air, you were as they call waterlogged, and need and some air in tank.
