Your motherboard is quite old. It could be the RAM slot is simply dirty(use canned air), but if that's the case, the PC doesn't boot. The memory controller could be dying(replace motherboard or upgrade system). There could be other issues but it sounds like your memory itself is fine. You could try reinstalling the BIOS, but because of the age of your computer, you shouldn't spend any money trying to get it fixed. It would probably be cheaper just to get a compatible used motherboard on eBay as replacement. The better long term financial decision would have to be building either a used parts PC (because CPUs have barely gotten better in the last 5 years) or a brand new system. This isn't very much information to draw on, so if you can update your information, I can help more.

Check to see that you have adequate thermal paste and that you're connected to the onboard graphics first. It may not detect the GPU on an expansion card just yet.

Edit your question and display the make and model number of your motherboard. Do you hear beeps (How many) when you try to turn it on. You said you have ddr ram (ddr is an old hardware). Hardware such as RAM, CPU, PCI slots, ETC ...must be compatible with your mother board.

try uninstalling the wireless driver in safe mode, and reinstalling it after boot up.

All ram chips not created equal. Some will work others will not. Meanwhile memory slots can and do go bad so .........

Check with Nvidia tech service. You screw that up and you can destroy either the card or the mo bo. Must be very careful with this one.
