I have a GE double wall oven, less than two years old, lightly used, which is displaying PF97 code. The oven was fine until my wife used the self cleaning operation.

https://getsatisfaction.com/gebrillion/topics/ge-double-oven-e97-code Two posters at the internet link above had suggestions. The following doesn't cost to try: "Karl McHugh

you guys are going to laugh at this. have this problem. my repair guy gave me a tip until I can figure out long term....open bottom oven...there are vents at the top. use a flashlite and look in back right corner and you will see a squirrel cage fan. I taped together two long skewers to reach the back...insert through vent to squirrel cage fan and spin a few times. bingo...f code goes away and oven goes back to normal. don't want to do this long term but works until you get a solution. Ive been doing it for a month now but I travel all week and haven't had a chance to get it repaired. this has worked every time...seems like a dead spot in the drive for this???"

GE P7 Oven

I, too, have lost my manual and none of the timers work. I can never remember how long to run the clean cycle for, but will turn it off as it has been a little over 2hours and your post mentions 1.5hours.
I initiate the cleaning cycle by completing steps mentioned above and then turning the top dial (which has a clean range on it) clockwise until the clean light comes on. I then just time it by my watch to turn it all off. Then I wait a couple of hours before attempting to open the door. Don't forget to take the racks out, they are not suppose to go through the Clean cycle.
Good Luck,
Linda

My GE Profile built in wall oven screen and numbers all work, but after entering time and temp it goes straight to DONE. Could this be a thermostat problem, control switch or control board problem?

This forum, as its name suggests ('Optics'), relates to telescopes, microscopes and binoculars (and also, some people seem to think, firearms). An oven is in none of those categories. Posting in a forum dealing with domestic equipment may produce more results.

Could be the bake element is bad or oven sensor is bad or control board is bad

My GE oven works but all elements stopped working, any suggestions?

There are elements in the oven too but I will assume you are referring to the stovetop elements only. You did not give a model so I can't research any information, but it could be that a main connection has come loose under/behind, or a safety device (fuse) has tripped. Before working on the stove, turn off the breaker you are dealing with 240 Volts and can be very dangerous. One thing to test, try turning the breaker off and back on again and test the cooktops, otherwise turn the breaker back off before proceeding. Some stove have screws under the front lip (maybe covered by the oven door) that with removal, allow the top to be lifted, otherwise you will need to pull away from the wall, disconnect power and access the back for further troubleshooting.

GE JT5000 built in 30" oven. Self-installed. Light won't turn off. Get "shut door" msg when trying to turn on. Bad wiring job or defective oven? GE asked me to move latch and it wouldn't budge.

If you installed the oven without the door on, open the door completely, then turn the power off at the breaker, then go upstairs and shut the door and then go back downstairs and turn the power back on. if that doesn't work call for service.

GE model JKP28BOF3BB. Bake button for upper oven isn't working. Replaced thermo sensor & control board already with new ones. No change in problem with upper oven baking & I have no fault codes appearing on display. All other buttons & controls work fine. Upper oven can broil, just not bake. Lower oven is all good.

If you're running a double wall oven as displayed here, you would need to replace the control panel in the front that has the green little ribbon cable on it to solve this problem, I actually imagine that that part unfortunately may not be available anymore, however you could call parts and check availability at 1800 626 2000 This is also known as the keypad assembly.

We are getting a F9 code on a GE ZET938 convection wall oven while trying to clean it. What does that code mean?

The wall oven probably has a bad door lock. If the door is stuck shut, average repair cost ~ 300 dollars - 500 Dollars max. Worth calling service if you lack the confidence or experiece to tackle this expensive machine. If the wall oven door actually opens and isn't locked shut, try holding down the door switches to see if you get a response or if the error clears. Recommend calling GE service for this repair if available in your area. 1800 GE CARES

GE JTP14 oven won't heat or broil. Both elements are fine; tested then out of oven. Is there a thermal fuse on this oven or is this a control board problem?

I will first test the Thermal fuse. Its usually inside the unit situated on top of the oven case. The switches are mechanical and can fool around a bit. i would bridge that to test if it works, then replace it if indeed so. Very inexpensive
