Furuno 1100 updates
If you have the FCV1100 the newest level of software is 3.05. If you have the FCV1000L it is 4.07.
On the lcd display lines are apearing both
Your best bet is to contact Furuno. Replacing the LCD in those displays is very time consuming. I recommend writing your waypoints down or transferring them to a computer while you can still somewhat see the screen.
Furuno DFF1 Display is blank.
Check the MODE switch
The MODE switch provides the functions described in the table below. Remove the rubber cap to access the switch and set switches with a plastic screwdriver or the like.
1 and 4 on/// 2 and 3 off.
As you mentioned that light is flashing every 2 seconds.This is normal.but if there is no display and light is flashing every two seconds that means the connection problem. sounder is not connected to navnet.Check the connection between sounder and navnet.Remove and reconnect the connection.Clean the connection then connect and check.

How do i reboot my furuno navnet......
Press and hold the "MENU" button during power on.
Release "MENU" after boat appears.
Go through the installation wizard.
You must select the radar type, "B" is 1834.
Like a previous poster, I get
Adjust the motor mounting so belt don't slide up and down including the tension. Check the cabling connections, axial position sensor and rotor for weather damage. if problem resolved seal the housing with a silicon gel. If belt has visual wear 80% chance thats your culprit. Please be very careful for the magnetron has very HIGH VOLTAGE.
I want to transfer data
I've had a quick look at the manual and you need to connect the actual unit to a PC to transfer data not via a card, you can connect it with either a 9 pin serial port or a 25 pin RS232 port. Check the manual chapter 11 section 12/13 for configuration
You might have difficulty with todays computers as serial and RS232 ports a quite old standards and you may not have these ports on your PC, although you can buy a serial to USB or RS232 to USB adapters

This is a bit of bummer. Usually (and I hope in your case too) it is just a software problem. As a navnet is basically a computer this can happen. First I suggest you unplug everything except power and start it up, just to see if something on the network port isn't messing it around. If it still gets stuck take it to your local Radio Holland office or another furuno certified service outlet to reload the software.

It may be the flyback transformer that sends HV (12,000 Volts) to your screen. That could be due to age, cold solder joints. Get it checked out by a technician. There may be more going on than I suspect. If it happens when you jar the unit (hit it) then more than likely the flyback transformer is the problem.

Make sure your time offset is correct and also make sure you have not accidentally offset the chart. Also keep in mind that there are places in the charts that you can overzoom which can also cause this problem.

if it goes blank as soon as you transmit, most likely problem in dome. Could also be cable. Most likely is the motor in the dome. Open dome, remove belt, try it like that. If symptom persists, bad thing, if symptom resolves, it is the motor. Do not get near a transmitting dome, especially when the belt is removed. If the belt is off, you will get an error, but an error message is a different symptom, so you will have proved (90%) that it is the motor.
