Right click on the ScanSnap Manager icon at the bottom right of your computer screen, go to "Scan Button Settings" Then, go to the tab that says Paper. If you don't see it, click on details at the bottom left. In paper, change multifeed detection to Check Length or None instead of Ultrasonic Sensor. If this works, then the ultrasonic sensor on this scanner has failed. The only function is it detects if multiple pages go through at the same time by listening to the vibrations. Your scanner can still scan fine without it.

The F4:C2 error on your scanners indicates that there is a problem with the background changeover unit, specifically with the black and white (BW) servo motor. It sounds like you have already done some troubleshooting and found that the motor is operating correctly and the changeover flaps and lamps are also working fine. However, the problem seems to be with the scanner's control system not recognizing the correct position of the flaps and continuing to try to move them, causing the gears to slip and the error to occur. Here are a few additional suggestions for troubleshooting the issue:

1. Check the sensor that detects the position of the changeover flaps and ensure that it is clean and properly connected.
2. Check the control board or main board of the scanner for any signs of damage or wear and check all the connectors.
3. Try to re-flash or update the firmware of the scanner.
4. If the problem persists, try replacing the control board or the main board of the scanner.

The Fujitsu fi-6800 hopper (to stack items to be scanned) is in the front of the unit. When the hopper is closed, you need to press the middle upper section of the hopper. Then bring down the hopper (towards you and the table top) while supporting the hopper with your hand. Adjust the hopper extension as needed. I had this same problem after an office move at my workplace. I tried moving the USB cable back to its original port and it worked fine!

Unfortunately, the problem is the Windows 10 version. The first few versions of Windows 10 worked with TWAIN scanners. I've forgotten the exact release (possibly 20H2) and later versions of Windows 10 require the WIA (windows image acquisition) scanner drivers. The switch was around the same time as Windows' release that required manufacturers digitally sign the drivers. The work-around to continue using some TWAIN scanners is the VueScan software from https://www.hamrick.com/ . This software translates between TWAIN and WIA so that Windows 10 accepts the use of the scanner. Download the software and check if it works with your scanner before you decide to purchase it. The fi-6130 is listed as a supported scanner; I still recommend testing the software. The software puts a watermark on scanned documents when you use the free version. The automatic document feeder will not work properly in the free or basic version. You need the standard or professional license to use the ADF properly. I hope this helps. I have that problem with my fi-6130 too, but the message specifically states "abnormality has occurred during communication." So the comments on paper jams (which I've not had) appear to be wild guesses unrelated to whatever is actually happening. But those messages are very old, so apparently their system is guessing what answers to throw at a question it cannot handle....

To scan a document into the computer you have to start the scan from the manager on the computer ...and there for you need it installed if you do not have it ..The button on the scanner will not send the scanned result to the computer ...but if you choose the job from the desktop command ..
so ..open the printer/scanner utility ..choose scan ..and the mode document or picture..and proceed..
it will ask you where to save it ..or auto place it in the my documents /my scans

get the download form ..fill it up ..and get the snap scan manager ..and use it ...if you have it ..just open it and make the scanning from there ..

My scanner is Fujitsu M4097D. I just have problem with ADF: Error Code DS32002: Paper jam in the ADF. Here is my solution: 1. Bend two white platin pieces down a little bit in order to "sensor" the paper scanned. This problem is occurred after I am scanning 50 thick pages. Until paper count 42, it is stopped with error code DS32002. Hope help anybody having this problem.
