Ezonics Cameras - Recent Questions, Troubleshooting & Support

The earliest appearance I can find of this camera is in 2005. Newegg, a 3rd party dealer, once sold it purportedly with a manual. I do not find that manual on the web. In fact, I do not find Ezonics home page. The last contacts I have found for Ezonics is 48521 Warm Springs Blvd Ste 315, Fremont, California, 94539, United States. Phone Number (925) 960-9278. I have not confirmed this is yet a viable contact nor whether you can get a reply from [email protected]. This particular camera is not the Amano camera you may encounter information about. You might find a contact or information on the forum of Photo.net. A few comments were offered by buyers at the Newegg site: https://www.newegg.com/ezonics-opus-4000-ultra-compact/p/N82E16830109122. I suggest being doubious of sites which might claim to have access to the manual after you give them a lot of information. My multiple searches have not turned up the manual at this point. Sorry.

Take out the existing battery and look at that.

Could be it is defect, or the battery is defect, or the battery contacts are dirty and or oxidised. Even a tech, with the camera in his (her) hands, will need some time to make the correct diagnose. Dirty contacts (battery and in the camera) can be cleaned with a dry cloth and or cotton swabs. Never use anything sharp in or close to a camera.

The Opus 4000 uses MMC or SD cards. MMC cards are all but extinct, SD cards are easier to find.You can use any SD card, though personally I would stick with the major brands. Be sure to get an SD card, 2GB and smaller, and not a higher-capacity SDHC card.

This is not a new camera...it came out over 3 years ago so I'm sure it is not currently sold at Walmart or Target.

The EZonic Web Camera people should not be manufacturing or selling their Web Camera's if they won't provide the Web Camera drivers free. Instead people who have purchased the EZonic Web Camera's have to pay for them.
My suggestion to those who have purchased an Ezonic Web Camera is to pitch it and get it from Microsoft
and/or Logitech who provide support and driver availablity. That goes for Sony and a nmber of other
manufactures.

My recommendation: Why pay for the drivers, you'd be money ahead to purchase one of these cameras.

Hello. the web cam drivers are all free downloads on the internet. Google the brand name of your web cam with the word driver after it. Then find your driver, download it and run it. Joe

something like this ..but the best way is to get from ebay a multi mini usb adapter so that you will be sure it fits...but if you recognize the actual plug you can almost type data cable on google and you will find lot of sites ..
another easy way ..is to use a card reader if you have a SD card on this type of camera ...I read about but all I understood is that it has a SD and a 16M built in ...Im not sure if it the same or it really uses a SD card ...
if it has...all you need its a 3 dollar card reader from ebay... usb plug ...

The camera and it's software are not compatible with Vista.

The type of card you need for your camera is an SD Card and you can get that at your local electronics store. You can also get them online too.
