First check that you have voltage at the outlet and that the switch is working. There is a reset button on the bottom of the unit - have you tried to reset that? If not, try it! If that doesn't do it, unplug your unit and use an allen wrench to rotate the motor (CW), if it won't turn then you either have something like a bone or spoon wedged in it or the motor is bad. If the motot is bad it is cheaper to replace than to repair.

Your Emerson Vacuum has a CD player in it?

Can your CD's be read in other computers? I am trying to rule out BAD CD's. If you are certain the CD are good and they run in other cd players, you may need to replace the device. This is simple enough to do and not expensive. What you need to know is there are two kinds of devices, one is IDE (characterised by a wide gray cable) and a SATA (characterised by a simple data cable). In all installs there will be a power cable and a data cable. Both are keyed and you probably cannot plug them in wrong. Rule of thumb is the red wires (one on the data cable and one on the power cable) go close together.

Hey Tim. I can help you look into the obvious and perhaps most inexpensive problems to fix.
At the bottom of the ISE there is a hex type hole in the center of the bottom plate. This is for an allen wrench of the appropriate size, a wrench usually comes with the units when they are new. UNPLUG the unit under the sink and insert the allen wrench into the hole. You can now use the allen wrench to manually turn the cutting blades inside the ISE. You may find something wedged in the blades that needs to be removed, family silverware, dog collars, etc. As long as the unit is unplugged you can reach inside and clear any debris. You will also find a small button on the bottom of the ISE. This is a circuit breaker and does trip from time to time. You just need to push it in to reset it. But since your unit is humming, I doubt the breaker is tripped. Feel free to contact me if you have questions.

Did you say that you have a Eureka? Also you need to know the model number because belt changing methods and belt sizes vary depending on the model. You can find the model number on the vacuum and can find the belt you need in the manual. Then you can get any Eureka belt here:

To turn off the LED service light on your Aerus CentraLux central vacuum model E130J after replacing the motor, switch the blue box on the circuit board from "ON" to "MEDI."

Alot depends on the type of hose. There are plastic hoses and rubber hoses. Generally you can use a smaller plastic connector to connect two rubber hoses together and visa versa, Make sure it is a snug fix. You could also use an adhesive to keep it together.

How to open it to see if the fuse is blown. I removed the three screws I saw. I feel that there is another which prevents me from opening it in two. I looked under the tights, I removed the plate where the two buttons are located. I can't open it.
