Hi, people! This person didn't mention what model his RCA remote is... therefor, we cannot tell them codes. Every universal remote has a different code database. Their RCA remote may require a 3-digit code, or a 4-digit code, or even a 5-digit code. And even if it was a four digit code, the codes you guys provided has a good possibility to not work as they may be for a different RCA universal remote then what they have. You must find the operating manual and code sheet for the exact model universal remote you have. A good source is rca.com.

Hi... OK..I'm kinda confused with this question. How old is your TV ?? I went to the Amazon Web, I looked at Emerson TV..all flat screen, (that seems to be all that is sold these days)...but all the TV's I saw, have various RCA, HDMI, Ethernet, mini-jack, and USB input...some of these are outputs like my audio outputs I use for my Bose system, for the large rich sound coming from the entertainment center. Everything is on the backside unless you are talking about a TV mounted on the wall, and you don't have access to the backside, cause it ain't your TV to be messing with.. Good Luck shamim

Did it previously access your PC? There may be compatibility issues. Use the menu button on the Emerson TV to select a new "source." Choose "VGA" input, then confirm that by pressing the OK button (normally the volume+ button on most televisions). I found a way around this problem. When this happens, don't use the remote.

Walk up to the TV, then HOLD DOWN the power button and while the lights are flashing, start pushing the menu button on the TV at the SAME TIME.

Then your screen will turn on. No idea why this works. Just stumbled on it while getting ********** that this TV, I had less than a month, suddely would not come on anymore. I was about to unplug the whole thing to take back to WalMart and just started pushing button combinations and found this worked.

Universal remotes come with a manual that will give you a list of codes for your brand TV. Most universal remotes also have a "learning" option that allows you to "cycle" through codes automatically until it works with your TV.

My Emerson won't play anything except DVD Movies, never has, wasn't suppose too. Make your movies in DVD Video format and it will read them fine (unless it's broke). I make movies all the time and play them back in mine. It reads DVD-R, DVD+R, and in duel layered. It will not read RW disks!

Man I've every problem you can imagine with DVD Players. I've found when the disk gets stuck, as long as it's not jammed. You can turn the unit off or unplug it. Plug it back in but DON'T TURN IT ON! Instead hit the eject button and the drive should open the drive without trying to read the disk.
