Added 2nd hard drive network adapter stopped working

is the network adapter onboard or an add-on card. if it's an add-on you may have accidently unplugged either the card or the cord when installing. if it's onboard you should go to device manager and see what IRQ's the hard drives and the network adapter are using, they may be conflicting, if that's the case just change one of them to something different. Pxe-mof exiting pxe rom

If you are not booting from a network, PXE-boot is the wrong boot option. You have to change the boot order so that the PC will boot from your HDD. This can be set in the boot option in your BIOS.Depending on the type of BIOS, you will enter F2 or Delete during the POST( when the white letters appear on the screen after you turned it on). This will enter you into the BIOS setup. boot options are usaully the last tab. Either disable the PXE-boot or change the priority so that it boots from the HDD first. Please, if you are unformiliar with this, reference the manual or ask someone with some IT background. If the problem still exists after you configured the boot options your hard disk drive might not be readable. The BIOS just goes to the next availible boot device.

IDE-0 means Pri master ?IDE-1 means Pri slave ?IDE-2 means Sec master ?IDE-3 means Sec slave ? you can change it to cd if you want to install an operating systemTest all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your ((motherboard to your hard drive)) make sure they have a secure dust free connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty ?

even something as small as an electrical extension or a faulty fan lead can cause this problem

a computer needs all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail check all electrical extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

make sure the CPU central processing unit has thermal paste and dust free and is securely seated

make sure your computer ram modules are securely seated with no dust in sockets also Cmos battery has charge with no dust in the socket some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

hope this helps

Emachines t5274 vertical blue lines during startup/XP.

It looks like you've got two issues. If you tried a different monitor and it too have vertical blue lines your video card might be bad, but hold that thought. I'm thinking you need to reload the operating system because you can't boot all the way up which is the second issue. Have you tried to boot up in Safe Mode and do a System Restore? Turn the computer off, then turn it back on and immediately start hitting the F8 key repeatedly until you see SAFE MODE. Select the Safe Mode option. When it boots, if it boots successfully things will look different in Safe Mode. The screen will be darker and icons bigger, but that's normal. If you get into the desktop successfully, click Start/Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore. Select a restore point (date and time) that is before you started having problems. If the system tells you that you have no restore points, then you will have to either Reload the Operating System or do a System Recovery. By the way, System Restore does not lose your data, documents, music, pictures, videos, or programs unless the program was installed after the restore date. System Recovery LOSES EVERYTHING, it sets your system back to when you first purchased it.

Media test failure

First - re-seat the harddisk and reboot the computer. If the computer does not boot up then reboot andgo into the BIOS configuration to see if the BIOS detects the hard drive. If itdoesn't detect the hard drive then it could be faulty. Then the hard drive needsto be replaced in the computer/laptop, Windows installed and the computer orlaptop's device drivers plus your programs etc. to get a functioningcomputer/laptop again.

No lights on cd/dvd

the part you are missing is going into your computer's bios to change the boot sequence to CD/DVD first so that it would read the dvd. The current setting is probably network since you are seeing the PXE failure

Brought a hp pavilion 7850 s/n mx11092494 monitor

Depends on where the password is.

If its just after PC switch on then CMOS battery will have to be removed AND mobo CMOS clearing jumper used.

If its just before window starts, you will need to reboot into safe mode and click on control panel, passwords and sometimes gain Admin control from there.

I installed realtek driver but i hear no sound

OK--first, is it the correct driver for your computer? Now be sure your speakers are plugged into the green port.If the speakers are powered, are they turned on?Check the speaker icon in your system tray--lower right side of the screen. Click on it to see if the sound is too low or maybe muted. If still no sound, go to the control panel and click on the sound icon. In that window you click on "sounds" and see if you can click on a sound and play it. If the "play" arrow is gray, it means your sound card drivers are not installed. You can also make sure that your speakers are the devices selected to play the sounds.Another thought? The speakers are bad.

Machine boot half way and then shut down and restart the booting process again

Test your PSU or replace it if your power supply units fan is not working your PSU is faulty

One bad lead can cause a computer to continue on a cycle or to shutdown or fail to detect/ boot up a computer hard drive

Test all leads that attach to your hard drive including electrical extensions,IDE,SATA

the leads from your MOTHERBOARD TO YOUR HARD DRIVE make sure they have a secure connection and are not faulty or just replace them they could be faulty make sure all leads that are attached to your drives dvd\cd 3 1/2 inch floppy have secure connections and are not faulty even the electrical extensions or just replace them they could be faulty a computer needs its connections to continue its cycle and have an end so any faulty leads will end up with a computer error even something as small as a faulty electrical extension or fan lead can cause you problems

computers need all of the data and electrical current to travel through every working device and to have an end to be able work properly

motherboard and a hard drive any leads between them will fail before your motherboard or your hard drive if its a flat ribbon 40 pin type IDE replace it this will be the first to fail

check all electrical power input and extensions make sure they are securely seated even the cd/dvd floppy drives need to have current go through make sure these drives are working

also check the Cmos battery and computer RAM modules make sure they are securely seated with no dust built up or in the sockets on some motherboards cmos batteries are soldered in

check you CPU make sure its securely seated and has thermal grease might be getting to hot

another possible reason could be a memory dump you might be running to many programs at the one time putting to much strain on the CPU central processing unit

hope this helps you
