I don't know and I doubt anyone can make more than a guess without rigorous testing. My own very limited experience of lightning-struck TV suggests, if the TV survived, a great many components will be weakened or made old before their time and are likely to underperform in all sorts of different ways which will be impossible to predict; even if you do get it repaired it is unlikely to be reliable or long-lived...

with antenna go to tv air and channel search should be ok then for cable box cable set up and channel search and use 3 or 4

ON MOST REMOTES:
1. Turn on the TV.
2. Press and hold the TV and SEL buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The button will light.
3. With the button lit, point the remote at the TV and enter the TV's 3, 4, or 5 digit code.

4. Verify by pressing the VOLUME + button. This should turn the TV VOLUME up.
5. Press the TV button to store the 3, 4, or 5 digit code. The button will blink twice to confirm the code is stored.

Your Element TV can be controlled with a universal remote and work with RCA remotes, Comcast, DirecTV, Charter, and more.

Hi. I recommend that you try a hard reboot; First unplug the TV from the wall and hold down the power button (the one on the TV not the one on the remote) for 30 seconds. After 30 seconds release the button and let the TV sit for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes come back and plug the TV in and turn it on and it should hopefully work then. If not then we can explore more options. Best of luck.

if hooking to cable go to set up and turn on cable then channel search use chanel 3 or 4 if free tv go to tv air and channel search
