Even since we install the edimax server, the

Setting the location of the spool folder By default the spool folder is located at systemroot\System32\Spool\Printers. However, this drive also holds the Windows system files. Because these files are frequently accessed by the operating system, performance of both Windows and the printing functions might be slowed.
If your print server serves only one or two printers with low traffic volumes, the default location of the spool folder is sufficient. However, for high-volume printing requirements, to support large numbers of printers, or to support large print jobs, you should relocate the spool folder. For best results, move the spool folder to a drive that has its own controller, which reduces printing's impact on the rest of the operating system.
For information on relocating the print server spool folder, see Change the spool folder location.

To set up a printer to print to multiple devices
  1. Open Printers and Faxes.

  2. Right-click the printer you are using, and then click Properties.

  3. On the Ports tab, select the Enable printer pooling check box.

  4. Click each port where the printers you want to pool are connected.
Notes
  • To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, and then click Printers and Faxes.

  • With printer pooling, the printers must be the same type of printer using the same printer driver.

  • The previous procedure assumes the printers you want to pool are already in the Printers and Faxes folder.
  • Check for print jobs in que, this can cause the printer to spool if a print job is in que.

DEAR SIR, I CANNOT ABLE TO

If you have configured every thing correctly , the problem may be with the network cable. There are (2) types of network cables are available. They are 1). cross net work cable ,2). Parallel network cable. I think you have used the parallel network cable. Now try to purchase the cross network cable or you may prepare it if you are awre about it. Hurray ! your problem will be solved automatically.
Even though if your problem is not solved , kindly follow the instructions as follows;

First findout the IP address , subnet mask, and Gateway addresses of your ISP ( InternetService Provider ). According to above addresses, you have to complete the networksettings of your printer by mentioning the different IP address .

To find out the above mentionedaddresses first open the control panel -> network connections -> local areaconnction -> properties -> Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4) ORInternet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPV6)according to your ISP -> Properties

By the systematic selection asmentioned above you will get the IP address, subnet mask and Gateway addresses.

Suppose your IP address is 192.168.0.10 , thegateway may be 192.168.0.1 Or any number. And the subnet mask may beXYY.XYY.XYY.0.

Accordingto your ISP addresses you have to complete the network settings of yourprinter. First press the additional functions -> system settings ->network settings -> TCP/IP settings -> fill up the addresses as follows.

IP address : 192.168.0.16 OR any number .

subnet mask : XYY.XYY.XYY.0.

Gateway : 192.168.0.1

Hurray ! the problem about your networkconnction with the printer to your computer will be automatically solved.

Problem with Canon I-SENSYS MF 4150

After several days of researching the same problem for the MF4150, the conclusion is that you have to use an Axis or Silex brand print server developed specifically for Canon. Both have been reported to provide Print/Scan/Fax multi-functionality, but it seems Silex is the one Canon really supports (it's only sold on their website) and is most likely to be the least problematic.

Ubuntu 8.04 x64 not connecting

Ubuntu has his own print server. When you click on System/Administration/Print (not sure, because I use the French version :Impression), it opens a window. Then you select Go to the server (again, something similar to that choice), and you can configure the options for the server.

No Ports available

The default IP in the D-Link router is 192.168.1.x
The default IP in the Edimax is 192.168.2.2

Your 3rd octet (the # after 168) has got to be the same for the two of them to communicate.
So, you can either reIP your router, or connect your PC to the print server and change it. The software for the print server should have a tool for finding the PS by MAC address, then you can go in and reset it to 192.168.1.x
