This series of beeps tells us that your RAM is some-times not being seen by the computer system.

You need to remove the RAM modules and clean the gold finger connectors with tissue paper.

Clean out as much dust as you can with a vacuum cleaner, then reinsert the modules in the correct orientation.

Easy as they will only go in one way. There is a cut out on the RAM module that separates the gold finger connectors.

You may go for a new Optical DVD Writer because the Optical Lens have been corrupted.

go to the emachine website and locate the suppot tab. enter your computers serial number then operating systems and download and run the chipset drivers. this will resolve any sm bus controler issue

It is round cell on motherboard chip set .

I highly doubt anyone here will give you their key. If you want to use word, their is a free office suite known as Open Office. If you want the software, i suggest buying it, or asking a friend or family member.

Restart computer keep hitting the " r " key will take you into recovery , do a destructive recovery , you will have to reinstall programs added since computer was new , if you dont show (d) can contact e-machines support @ (408) 273-0888 they will send you a recovery disk for $20.00 takes about 5-9 days.

It could be feedback from your microphone. Place them further apart and see if that makes a difference. Otherwise, the sound card might be bad.

Make sure you have a dvd/cd rewriter and software for copying software and a disk thats empty if that fails go to (microsoft.fixit) your repair will comes under my dvd/cd cant write it will then automaticlly sort the repair but wont carrie out any repair usless you give the ok.You can then link this system to your computer so any further problems needing repairs they could fixit for you.This is a free repair site but is running out for vista

Floppy disks are obsolete at this point. If you have data on a floppy disk that you wish to retrieve, see about getting help from someone you know who might have one on their computer system, or visit a public library (you might be able to offload the floppy disk contents and e-mail them to yourself).

Most people use USB flash drives now. They are far more reliable and have enormous capacity. Definitely get one if you don't have it. The W3503 computer has several USB ports on it.

You need to boot into safe mode. Windows is hanging on some start up file..... press F8 after first screen when you start computer if you can get into safe mode fine. then goto start>accessories>run and type msconfig then hit enter. under general tab select " selective start up and uncheck all but use original boot configuration. reboot regular. if this works then you need to to run check disk. this is done by right clicking the c: drinve in my computer and goto properties then check disk for errors. will tell you it cant and offer to run at next start up. allow it to and see if this helps. if it is vista or windows 7 run the start up repair from the cd, or restore to an earlier restore point when it worked fine. something is trying to load that isnt there any more.

any will do you just need to know if it is a sata or ide if its has a ribbon belt pluged into the back of it its normaly grey in colour and two or thee inch in width if it doesnt have this conector it a sata.

You currently have a NVIDIA GeForce 6100, if you have not upgraded already. You will need to be looking for any NVIDIA video card, and you can follow this link to see what you can get:

unfortunately it does not say how many WATTS your power supply is on the emachine website so please make sure you see the requirements for the video card and see how many WATTS are require. You may need to upgrade your power supply.

Newer e-machines use the integrated graphics cards, but do not have expansion slots for anything else.
unless you have an expansion slot for a video card add on.

you should be able to get an AGP 8X. This is an older card, but would be better than the intergrated one.

There are many cases of a computer slowing down even to a crawl. As well as freezing, programs crashing etc.

The first is spyware and virus's. These two things can be eliminated by using some free removal tools that I personally use myself.
Anti-Virus: AVG Free Edition
Anti-Spyware: Malwarebytes Anti Malware

You can use your own if you already have software installed. If you already have anti-virus software installed you would have to completely remove it before installing AVG free, or it could cause problems having two anti-virus programs installed.

The second cause is junk files and a damaged registry, I recommend one program that is also free that will fix both of the above problems.
