Hi i have an etower 500is desktop pc i am working
There are 3 requirements for a video card for that computer:
1...An available PCI slot. The best I could tell from the specs for that computer is that it has 3 PCI slots and two of them are probably occupied with a sound card and a modem or possibly a network card.
2...A PCI video card, the smaller the better since the computer case is a minitower.
3...A video card that is compatible with (has the drivers for) Windows 98. I did a quick search for one that supports Windows 98 and all I could find was either sold out or no longer available. Good luck finding one. Maybe eBay.
No offense, but that computer is really old. You'd be better served buying a new computer. Computers, such as this are only $300:

The best and easiest option for you is to buy a "USB wireless adaptor".

On any desktop, you could take the side cover off, look inside. You will see a quarter size battey (CMOS battery).
Make sure the power is off and the AC power cord is disconnected from the unit.Carefully, Lift the battery out of it's case. There is a tab on one side which will allow the battery to pop up. Then short out the two metal strips that you see in the battery case for about 30 seconds. Re -insert the battery, put it back together, power it up, the password should be cleared.
If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holidays!

WHEN I START UP I HAVE AN ERROR MESSAGE THAT SAID
Find your disk that has the Windows operating system on it. Sometimes it's labeled "recovery". Go to the RUN box in the start menu and type "cmd" without the quotes. In the black box type: "sfc /scannow" without the quotes. Also, there is a space between the "c" and the "/".
You will be prompted for the Windows CD. Let that run it's course, then remove the Windows CD and reboot. If you still have the problem you may have an application that needs removed then re-installed. start > settings > control panel > double click the add/remove programs icon. To help figure out which program may be causing the problem, go to the RUN box again and type in "msconfig" and look at the "start" tab for programs that load when Windows starts.

How to upgrade from usb1.1 to usb2.0?
You'll need to install a usb 2.0 card into the slot of the computer if one will fit your pci slot or pci express slot if the motherboard supports those form factors.
Then, you'll be able to connect usb 2.0 devices to the computer in the back.
I forgot to remove input
Hi,
First, check your power supply fuse for damage and switch the power to standard. Disconnect power supply output port and check your output voltage. If nothing abnormal, turn off power supply, connect the output and turn it on to check the power on your PC

My machine has been taken over by a desktop
In order to get rid of this you will need to download some sort of anti-malware software. Some free ones you can use are Malwarebytes (works great) @
www.malwarebytes.org Alot of times these viruses will prevent you from going to any webpages so you may need to download them from another PC and put them on a disc or flash drive. If malwarebytes doesnt do the trick theres always Spybot S&D and also Trojan Remover (all of which are free)! You may need to boot into safe mode in order to run the scans. Generally you can get into safe mode by pressing the F8 key (tapping it a couple times a second) upon startup. Otherwise,

I cant really seem to understand but if the computer beeps then you should take the RAM out and clean it and re-insert it. and try again. Sometimes the processor can give that kind of problem if it is faulty. But if after cleaning the RAM it still doesnt work please take it to the tech department.
I hope this solution is helpful.
Today, power went out, back
The spikes caused by the power drops messed up you boot sector. You can most likely download the manual you need from E-Machine but unless I miss my guess it is going to take you through the format and software load options which means your basically starting the machine from scratch and you will lose the data you have on that drive. Get a UPS and surge protector as soon as you can to put on this machine. If nothing else you can get a small one from Walmart or best Buy for $30 to $40 that will at least supply power long enough for the tower to shut down properly in these situations.
The file in computer missing or corrupted
Will it boot to safe mode? If so, run chkdsk and have it do a through scan and fix all errors. You can do this via a bootable rescue disk or the Windows CD if safe mode does not work either.
If running chkdsk doesn't work, you'll have to extract the missing files from the Windows CD using the Recovery Console. If that doesn't work, then it's time for a repair install using the Windows CD.
