I am trying to return my tower to factory setting. It keeps asking for a25 character number.

Are you sure you're back to factory settings? That 25 character number sounds like the Certificate of Authentication (COA) key for the Operating System. Look on the side and back of your computer for the COA Sticker. It tells you what Operating System you have and it will have a series of 5 letters and numbers (25 to be exact) that is the key to validate and activate your operating system.

I need password to enten the computer is lock

I would like to introduce Windows Password Recovery Tool 3.0 . it not only supports XP, 2000, and NT, I have personally tested it with Vista and windows 7. It works perfectly to reset any local user account to a blank password. I Wrote it to an old 128mb USB flash drive do this. Booting up and clearing a password takes a minute or two works like a charm. You can download it from http://www.windowspasswordsrecovery.com . It also supports cd/dvd

Have a new tv how do i get connected to my old computer

to hook the computer to the tv you do not need a disk ..basically you need to have a pretty good video card on computer so that it will have a hdmi video out ..and this way it will work on hdmi ..or if it has a tv slot ..use it ..and select the proper input on the tv ..If there is no image on the tv ...you have to go to the video settings ..and select to enable the secondary monitor or tv out..for some computers you can do this by pressing Fn and F5 or F4 or F7 ..(or ctrl = f....) ..and will enable it auto ..but ..it is best to make sure you have teh correct driver for the video card ..and after the connection being made with the cable ..and select the correct entry in the tv ...just go to the video card settings ..or click right on desktop ..and select properties and than display settings ..or ..settings ..and on the page where it shows the monitors..click on the secondary and enable it ..and select the way it will work ..(clone or extend display ..second one will make the monitor an extension and you can select different tasks for the space )

When I goto shut down the computer it goes through

Try this, go to control panel, select Power Options, make sure the section that says "When I press the power button" it says shut down the computer.
You may also want to check in the BIOS where it says what do you want to do when you press the power button, you want both to say to shut off the PC.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck and have a pleasent day.

If you have an extra pci slot then you can buy yourself a network adapter card. There are plenty available on your local shop or on ebay. You can choose from wireless, wired or one that comes with both.

Hope this helps.
