Cartridge for what? Is it a filter? If so replace it, it is surely clogged.

should not be necessary to get behind the shower stall as there should be a hole big enough to remove /replace the facet insert call a plumber in as it may be corroded in place and may require specialist tools for the job get a quote first

Take handle off (either set-screw from side or bottom of handle, or phillips screw under cap on end of handle), pull off sleeve that's behind handle, unscrew nut that holds cartridge (strap wrench works great) and pull cartridge out.

pus down and unscrew. There is an adjustment screw on bottom side. Adjust, screw back in.

there is probably a shutoff on the rough-in valve in the wall. Sometimes the seal in that comes apart and blocks the water. Get new stem for valve. Unscrew the nut, replace stem, tighten nut. Clean inside valve before u put new one in.

When you replaced the cartridge did you also replace the seats and springs in the back the seats could be rotted out
