You have to look at the cable connections on both your TV and Laptop. They should both have the same HDMI connector. Check your Dell Manual to see which connector is the HDMI If you don't have a manual for your Dell: www.dell.com/support Will have the manuals free. Hope this helps.

Remove or unplug the soundbar from the system and restart the computer. Reconnect the soundbar and check that the LED is lit. If the soundbar does not connect, see if it is listed in Windows Device Manager. Swap the USB soundbar to another USB port.

There is no card reader on most models of the Optiplex 780. There may be a card reader on the SFF unit. The MT, desktop and USFF do not include a card reader. You can add a 3.5" internal card reader to the MT or desktop models for under $20. You could use an external USB card reader with any Optiplex 780.I hope this helps. Cindy Wells

To be honest, you have had this laptop and OS for its lifespan. You cant make everything last forvever. Just get a new system. But if you insist, I would re-image the drive. you need to add a repeater or signal booster for reciving signal in basement from uper floor.

My expierince is that whatever roueter you buy doenst matter it will not work properly if you are using wirless on 2 diffrent floors. on a same floor it can work smoothly even having walls.

Just had the same problem... what worked for me was simple. Unplug the cable from the monitor, hit the power button a few times until Dell screen poped up with a few color bars because it knew it was no longer connected to a PC. Then plugged the cable back in and all was fixed.

Turn off the laptop by holding the Power button and restart the laptop. You should get the normal screen.

(messed with) rules of RAM, DDR. a 2001, (no typo) relic and useless PC for sure. no modern OS runs here.!!!! those are POST errors for DDR1 banks. 2 slots of ram. DDR1 old not new with ******* high density ram. test them 1 by 1 , at a time in bank 0, channel A slot???????? 512 MB max per slot, so , 2 slots are 1GB max. per the manual I read to you PC133 (non-ECC or ECC) and not Registered, RAM, SDRAM only , buffered. the ram must be in matched sets, same SKU means same exact P/N# intel and dell told you that and MMC is intels chip. The bios must like any ram you buy, MUST. this mobo has 4 LED panel for 4 bit binary POST errors what does the 4 LED codes show. 4 yellow is bad bios, means cannot finish POST and more. in the free manual this relic has no VGA port on mobo at all that means only a PCI video card is allowed, to get video that means it can fail when it tries to steal, VRAM from DDR1 bank. sure can , try other VGA cArd? oops wrong this PC has AGP slot and we all know from 2001 year 1/2 the AGP 4x cards made do not work here, only DELLs list , work. 4x/2x modes at 1.5 V , using 3.3v AGP card will blow up(smoke) some dual voltage cards do work but only in DELLS LIST 32bit only. we all hated AGP then , it is a huge horror. then. PCI video works better. try one for $5 used, PCI not PCI-express does not fit here. as you can see I can not see your PC and all things connected no what VGA card you have exactly and matters first. VRAM issues. reading old dell form real posts at dell 1. 6200 nVidia AGP for basic work, light low level settings in games. 2. 6600 nVidia AGP for mid to low end gaming. 3. 6600 GT AGP, good over all lower mid level card for gaming, that would be my least choice for your system. 4. 7600 GS AGP, for lower mid level gaming 5. 7600 GT AGP, for a good over all card for your system and power supply. do not attempt OC, overclocking or it will fail this $9 at flea bay, 10 times PCs value. 21 years old

well , it has no such thing , look at he mobo , the GPU is soldered down and there is no PCI-express slot there, so there is no such thing why not just post my video is dead to LCD and external monitor jack both. connected how, 3.5mm jack (mic port) or USB mic like mine i can connect both and then in the mixer sound windows click on mic input I want control panel sound recording tab , pick one./ if usb fails try all USB ports. my usb mic real fancy with built in sound effects even echo and more. there are like a gazillion types of mics now, boom mics and gee and endless list. even gun mics. to avoid noise , near by. no mic told, at all no OS told ,windows guessed a usb mic also must show up in device manager or will fail
