To play x264 (.mkv) files I would recommend downloading and installing VLC player.

Pause the video on a frame/image you want to copy. Press PRINTSCREEN on your keyboard. Open an image editor (eg. Paint, photoshop or any other) and paste the screen. Then crop just the image from the video player and save it as JPG image. Thats the way

The Dell Inspiron 1750 came with a DVD+/-RW drive. Did you purchase a replacement blu-ray optical drive (or purchase from dell with the upgrade to blu-ray)? If you do not have a blu-ray drive, a bluray movie will not play.

In addition, Cyberlink PowerDVD 8 only supports Blu-ray in their Ultra Edition (Blu-ray Disc) only. You will need to purchase either a newer version of the product that includes blu-ray support (or if sold separately the plug-ins that make the Ultra version of the product). check this by playing any other music file
it you hear some sound then download this codec pack and install it

when i play my dvd's video it not work video can't display

i would recommend searching for and downloading VLC media player. It is free, has more options, and plays any video format as well as DVDs

so you can convert the MKV files to AVI or other video format. you can use a video converter to deal with that.I recomemd the one I used for long for you.It is a powerful one with video converting.I think you can take a try for it.

yeah you should install the video codec for playing the divX videos..
either download and install KLM CODEC pack

or you can use VLC player which plays literally all the formats of multimedia..

OK, try this then
Put in a dvd again, when asked if you want it to open with Power DVD, press yes
When power dvd open, DONT press play, in the meny you will find the add button, press that one, and point it to the dvd, that will hoppfully mount the image to the power dvd since you told the program where the file is.

You know that power dvd dosent lay all formats right? so if it is a burned dvd you trying to play make sure that it is a format supported with power dvd
