Hi at the back of the phone you will see a selectable Hi/Lo/Off switch. Slide the (Ringer) switch to High position or Low position to turn the ringer on. Hi for high volume Lo for low volume.To prevent hearing any ringing of incoming calls slide the (ringer) switch to the off position but when you ready to accept incoming calls again remember to slide the switch back to either Hi or Low setting. Hope this made sense and helped.

Hi have you had a look on the back of the handset for the handset volume adjustment? You should see it there along with the ringer option. I have pasted a section from the manual that may help you.Hope this helps you.

Good question but no 'make model (what it is). Base units have an antenna, make sure it is extended. Make sure the batteries in the satellite hand sets are good as they send out the signal to the base unit to be 'in range'. Not sure about the PIN request, refer to the manual. They are all online.
