Replace/repair fan.

Power supply likely failed. Electrolytics are the primary culprit.It should have a switchmode power supply, so it is lmost likely the 5 volt section failed.

The fuses are on the inside

Just touch the clock. It's actually your screen saver and you can then it off in your settings. But I'd you just want a different clock, simply touch the clock and it'll display another style.

Whatever lights up the screen is not working.

That is a subjective statement. You need to measure the SPL at the speaker and check against the specs and also measure the power from the amp to have the data to check and compare with. That will give you an objective answer. You could have lost part of your hearing, I do not know!

How do you know it is shorted. What is the full part number, that number is on transistors, MOSFETS and a few other things.

The problem depends on what you are putting into it. If you can make this an objective question somebody could probably help.

It depends on your reference and where you are probing!

Turn down the volume that will help.

I have no schematic so I cannot help you. Do you know somebody that has one, if so take a picture of it. Normally if I am not super familiar with something I take pictures before taking apart.

I would suggest you take it to your local Crown repair depot. It sounds like a fault in the internal protection circuits or the outputs are blown. Without a lot more information I cannot help.
