I would use OEM parts, not after market as this sort of thing can happen and cause problems. Sounds like you need a different hose for the replacement housing.

The best answer would be call a locksmith. I've broke the wing or back window. The cheapest to repair.

there has been a recall on some year cruz about coolant leaks. Check with NHSTA.gov to see if you are included. If not you will have to replace housing hoses and any plastic connections around thermostat housing that carry coolant. My Opel corsa Lite 1.4i, 2005 model cuts off when idling or stopping. I've replace the ignition coil as it was suggested but the next day the problem continued. I've replace plugs, filters, ect. When I'm approaching a place where i have to stop i see lights on dashboard coming out and the engine goes off if i stop or if i put the second gear it kicks again. I had a similar problem recently with my Epica. During extremely cold weather I tried to use the windscreen washers which were frozen. This blew a fuse within the interior fuse box which controls the wipers, indicators etc. This also activated the flashing red security light on the display. The vehicle was still running but when I truned off the engine it refused to start again. Required to change the fuse (which from recollection is the 3rd down on the right - 10amp) before it would work again. Eventually blew again so replaced it with a 15amp fuse and been working fine ever since....
