You cannot do matrices with this calculator. Use an FX991 ES, or FX115 ES.

hello Christine C, posted to USA computer help. first learn that USA computer are not the same as outside USA (laws and such things) I tried hard to learn what this is FX9860G AU best I can tell it is a CASIO Calculator and is NOT a busted PC. the manual is here. read it yet? put in new batteries, most used things with batterie's are for sure batteries NOGOOD now. Sounds like you're in fixed point mode with 0 decimal places. To return to floating point, press FIX then . (decimal point)

Press the CA button twice. Then push and hold down the %/set key until the 0 dissappearsd and reappears. Then type in your tax rate and the percent key (eg: 8.25%) and then press the TAX+ key. It should save the new tax rate.

In the FX-300Ms manual, the same for the FX-82MS, there is no way to use base-n (binary, octal, hexadecimal) calculations.

If your calculator is SetUp for Math Input/Output (MATHIO), a result that gives a radical will remain in radical form. If a radical appears in a denominator the whole expression is rationalized: Any radical left is put in the numerator. 1/Sqr(3) is displayed as Sqr(3)/3.
