Something that worked for me, I opened the Conon MX310. took out both cartridges, and for 10 seconds I held the Reset. put the cartridges back in, closed the lid, and again, for another 10 seconds held the reset. SLOW seconds. this reset, ink levels recognised,, and it's working as it should be.

Sounds like the printhead is plugged on the black side. A new printhead is #qy6-0052-000 around $40.00. That model also needs a firmware update to help it clean the printhead better.

Hi,
dispite the error, you should be able to enter the service mode.
Procedure for service mode is:
- press * ( additional functions - user mode )
- press 2
- press 8
- press * ( additional functions - user mode )

Then choose COPIER, then under FUNCTION screen is CLEAR.

But you only can try to clear the error like E000, E001, E002 and E003.

The Service Manual only mentions the Platen Motors, but follow the connections back to the control board and clean them with switch cleaner. Also look for any sensors that use the platen motors for functional logic decisions.

The most likely reason is that the default paper size on PrintShop is set to the wrong size or page orientation..

There is no a/c button just c/ce and the wheel is not turning at all?

There's a plastic flag that goes through an optical gate and tells the printer that the output tray is full. The flag is stuck, broken or missing, or the optical sensor is dirty. Search for the flag at the level where the paper would be if the tray is full.
